Ever lost your passes before your trip?

Hi All,

I'm just wondering if anyone ever lost their park passes prior to your trip. We had 4 park hopper passes that were lost/stolen. Anyhow, we contacted Disney and they told us (after many phone calls) that we were all set and we only needed to go to guest relations when we get there and we will get new passes. These are the kind that don't expire and we had to cancel our last Disney trip, so it has been almost 2 years since we bought them (about 1 year since we lost them).

I was wondering if anyone encountered any problems getting replacements. Actually, we now have the lost passes back since the thief must have dropped my wifes purse somewhere and it was mailed back to us. I am sure Disney has marked the passes as stolen, but at least we have some proof that we bought them.

I lost my hopper passes the second day of my trip a couple of years ago. I was sick, they are so expensive! Since my daughter was with me they were able to determine the serial number on my pass by her number. They void the lost/stolen and replace with proper ID. It was corrected simply. I now, as recommended by the "experts", write down the numbers on my passes and keep them in a separate place. Since yours weren't activated it was probably easier to locate them under your name.
Enjoy your trip!!

Haha... I lose my passes all the time. I'm such a clutterbrain....I lose everything...hehe

My wife and i lost our passes on the last day of our trip halfway through the day. The last park we were going to was Epcot and it was about 2 hours before closing. We looked high & low for those tix and nothing. Went to the ticket window outside of Epcot and asked for assistance and explained our situtation. After about 30 minutes and after signing some kind of form a manager gave us 2 passes to go in to Epcot. It was a fiasco and made me feel like they thought i was lying and trying to get one over on them. I'm glad it happened on the last day we were there and the passes were all used up.

EDIT:

I forgot to include that the tickets were purchased 2002 before the new system so tracking them at that time was difficult if not impossible.

Just last month me, DH, and some friends were down in Disney. We woke up on our first full day there, and one of our friends could not find her pass. Since her reservation was tied to her BF, they went to guest services at the Magic Kindgom and they have her a temporary pass to get in. I think later that day she had to go to guest services at our resort in order to get a replacement so that it could be used as her room key as well. We were not with them when they went to guest services at our resort, but they never talked about it again, so I assume everything was taken care of.

Good Luck! I'm sure Disney will take care of you.

We ordered passes once about a month before our trip and they never arrived. I called up, and was given some kind of locator number, which I then brought to guest services. I showed ID, and they canceled the old passes -- the ones that never go to me -- and reissued new ones. I was a little worried when I showed up at GS about whether it would all work out, but it was a piece of cake. Took less than 2 minutes at the window.

The only way you would run into trouble is if your passes were stolen or found by someone who has used them since you lost them. I don't know what would happen then, although I think there's a good chance that you might have an issue.

Now with the MYW tickets they give you all the serial numbers when you check in to the hotel. That is what happened when we went from Sept 29 tell Oct 5. I have never lost my tickets, but is a good idea to right the numbers down. But they do that now for you atleast if you buy a package from disney with tickets.

Just take the tickets that were returned to you to Guest Services with you and explain that the thief dropped the purse and the police returned the purse back to you. They probably have already cancelled your old ones and have new ones waiting for you. That way they can destroy the old ones. :flower:
