Just wondering if anyone has ever brought one of those "mini" refrigerators with them to Disney for their room and if so, how did it work out. I'm talking about the refrigerators that hold only 6 or 12 can drinks.
Our last visit to WDW we brought our own mini fridge and stayed at POP. It is more of a ice chest that can be plugged into an outlet or cig lighter in car. We drove and was able to use it for the ride up and our stay. We bought it just for that trip instead of paying the $10 per night. It worked out great for us. Our kids love to eat cereal for breakfast, so we able to bring that and some milk. We were also able to keep our drinks cold for when we came back from the parks. We were on the DDP and used that for lunch and dinner. So we had hardly any OOP expenses for eating (tip was still included in DDP).
Our next visit (Oct 08) we are staying at BCV with a Studio room which has a mini fridge included. And we will be flying. So we will have no need to bring it this time. We will likely order some milk, cereal, and drinks from Garden Grocer.
Thanks for the info MrWixter. Just what I wanted to know. Just need something for cold milk and a few soft drinks in the evening. Am I allowed to ask you which brand you purchased. Not sure if I can do this on the boards. If not, can you send me a PM with the info?
