Several of my friends have started calling me the "Vulture" because if I hear of someone planning a WDW trip, I "swoop down" on them and try to help. I am not boorish or a know-it-all, I just give them the key websites and tell them about the UOG. I set them free from there and wait at least 2 weeks before I ask them how it's going. I can't stand the thought of people not knowing where they are staying or not knowing about EMHs or ADRs.

:earboy2: Anybody else out there a "Vulture"?

I confess I have done this on many occassions. When our patients come in, if they tell us they are going to Disney everyone is like Oh no do not Callie hear that. I love to talk Disney, I can keep them here for hours. I have had a few patients ask me to book their trip for them. It is just so much fun, & I want everyone to have a great time.

My team at work thinks I am a disney adict(and they are right) but when they went to the MK for a day and had me as their tour guide they decided that as the visit the other parks they want their tour guide to come along again.

Oh my goodness....I do this all the time at work. If i find out that somebody is visiting DW i get all excited. I have been known to draw up itineraries for people(in works time of course!!), find reviews of hotels and where to eat. I don't actually give them the website address because i like doing it myself. I should work in a travel agents instead of social housing!!! :thumbsup2

See? I love the planning too! I feel like the trip is beginning before we actually get there while I plan the meals, get the best room rates, read the books...again...and plan out what rides we will ride.

Our nightly dinner topic: If you could ride a ride right now, what would it be? Then my Dh will tell a story about our riding it.

I used to be a "swooper", not any more. If anyone wants any help or information I am definitely here for them. My biggest 'tip' was about paying for park tickets and going outside the park, example Sea World. I can't tell you how many people I have tried getting them to 'see the light' and not buy tickets for every day and go elsewhere.

No one listened to me and I don't listen to them now when they complain how much it costs for Disney.

Actually no I don't. If someone asks for my help, I'll give them what they ask for, but thats it.

One of my better friends is taking her family for the 1st time in June. The couple things I did tell her, she didn't listen anyhow, so now I'm offering no more info.

I don't someone coming back, well you told me this and you told me that, and it was horrible. I tell them about this site and the books. If they have any questions, they know where I am.

I just did this the other day. My daughter and I were in a small store that sells nursing uniforms. I heard the store owner say that she was going to Disney in November, and I told her that we were going in May.

I asked her if she had thought about where she was going to stay and the restaraunts? Of course she had never heard about the dining plan, and I went into detail about "everything" .

Before we left she knew all about the disboards, mouseplanet, allearsnet, wdw. you get the picture.

I embarrassed my daughter! Oh well, thats what parents are for. HEHEH

CONSTANTLY!!! :rotfl: Now though, I actually get people calling ME to plan their trips for them before I have the chance to swoop! :rotfl: It got me in some BIG trouble with DH very recently when I found such great deals on line for 2 different friends that I went ahead and booked a trip for us for this Sept/Oct. w/o checking with DH first. He was not too thrilled!!! :rotfl: He did not want to return until Oct. 2007.... :rotfl: 196 days to go!

Not with people I know - because they always come to me first. In fact, I've had my friends send THEIR friends to me!!

With strangers - it depends. If they seem like nice people that would appreciate my "butting in" - I do. If not, I just keep my mouth shut.

I'm not too bad  , but everyone knows my love for WDW and the Dis boards so they just come to me automatically with their questions (Like- how are the crowds the week after thanksgiving vs. the week before, where can I get the dining menus- OR my personal favorite- "We're going next week and want to take DD to the castle for breakfast- is it a long wait in line to get a table? :lmao: )

I've gotten known so much for my Disney info, that people now anyone planning a WDW trip stops by my desk to get info.

Of course, I have my over the top SPREADSHEET that everyone wants to see as well!

I think I should start charging for Disney Tour Consulting :rotfl2:

unixadm..how did you do that spreadsheet?
I want to do that for our trip!

OF COURSE!!

If you know me, you know I am a Disney Nut!

Everyone likes to get the best prices/deals/information. And I also have others recommending me to their friends too! I just LOVE talkin Disney!

I guess this is how I ended up planning a trip for 17 of us all together! princess:
