Ev-uns productions Orlando 2006 Day 6 12th October
First of all let me explain the difference in dates ..yep I am a Muppet. I forgot that on day 4 Tuesday we went to Blizzard Beach. It was a water park and nothing much goes on there anyway cough
Anyway Day 6 MGM studios, our kids were tired after Wishes so Dave, Les and the boys decided they would go for an early start and we would tail in behind them by an hour or so, we took the radios so we could meet up for dinner. On our arrival at 10am we headed down to the Tower of Terror and found it unusually busy for that time, they were saying about 45 minutes which didnt seem right. We fastpassed it and headed up back to the hat to catch some character pics. We managed to snag Tigger and Pooh just after the switch from Chip n Dale, this made the kids Well Happy after not getting on the tower. We hit our ToT fastpasses and did another go on it as things had quietened down a lot. We radioed in Dave and asked where abouts they had got to. They were about to go in the tower themselves on a fastpass and explained that they had queued up for RnR and they had got to the next car to launch when it went technical!!!! But they explained that they could hear the speaker transmissions saying that Dont worry we are coming to get you down- probably just as well. This was very soon after opening and provided the obvious explanation behind the ToT being so busy.
We had discussed the night before doing a dining reservation for the Sci Fi dine in theatre so we met up and discussed it. Go for it we thought it has to be fun so we made a 2pm reservation which was pretty much all they had left.
We headed down to my fave comedy puppets in the history of the earth ever ever EVER yep the Muppets! jeez they are still hilarious and fresh after all these years which is remarkable (I cant breath when I watch old sketches with the Swedish Chefooo be do be dooo). 10 minutes of embarrassing laughing out loud we exited and did the star tours which seemed rather more bumpy than I remembered but still generally well outdated.
It was 1.55 pm and time for a little b movie dining. We announced our arrival and sat down for our roller girl to show us to the table. As we sat there I whispered to my sis that I am sure that I had dreamt of roller bladed good looking waitresses at some time in the past, she offered to slap me stupidly if I didnt be quiet. Anyway we were called and led to the table, the first site of this place is quiet brilliant, it was just so cool!!! Shame about the ribs I had, they looked as if they had been reformed onto the bone and the meat quality was poor. It was edible, the shakes rocked and I saw a clip of Attack of the 50 ft woman so I was happy.
Due to the dining we missed the parade and headed to the next stunt show which didnt go according to plan as the final scene didnt work out as the stuntman didnt catch on fire, also the didnt do any scenes on the water, otherwise it was cool.
This marked the end of the day as Fantasmic was not an option due to having been at wishes the night before. We headed of home, had loads of beer and a kick *** Spag Bol then acted silly in the pool for a while because we didn't wait for an hour after tea! I am sure that was a rule for the pool but we felt like rebels that night.
Great day!!
