New JetBlue flyer, have always used Southwest. Got a JB credit card and booked a couple of flights with points. Flight points decreased, so I did the change feature to get back some points. Then the points dropped again by a LOT, but apparently you can only change a flight once online. Couldn't cancel it online to rebook either. It says there is a $25 fee to change via chat or phone, but I was able to use the chat feature to get it cancelled for free. Lesson learned - don't change a flight for a fare drop, cancel and rebook. Have to wait a few minutes for the $5.60 taxes to credit.

Good to know, thanks! I did a change for a points drop recently. The fare went down 800 points each but when I did it, it gave me 1100 points back each. No idea why.

Also, if you pre-pay for luggage and make any kind of change, they literally refund the luggage charge and you have to pay for it again - which requires calling or chatting because it won't let you do it via the website. I have no clue why they can't move the luggage to the new ticket since your confirmation number doesn't change.

And then there is the quirk that if you have one of the Even More seats or one that you pay for, and you want to simply change the seat to another in that section, even if it's the same price, they still try to charge you.

I don't know why other airlines seem to be able to transfer all the extra-charge things you've booked to a new flight or seat, but JetBlue does not cope with changes well.
