YAY! Looks like you figured out how to load a custom avatar! :thumbsup2

Not sure what you mean that you're looking for to add into your siggie... Do you mean to make a countdown ticker? Those you can do by right clicking on one in anybody's siggie - it will open the website where they were made so you can make your own. I like the one where you can use your own pictures - they just upload directly from your computer. The tickers are very easy to make and there are several sites out there to make them from. Once you make it then you have to copy the code to put into your signature (you can edit it in the CP panel).

Not sure if I can explain how to post pictures or not but I'll try. In order to post pictures you need to upload them to a photo hosting website like photobucket or shutterfly. Then you open up the pic you want to post from that site and right click on it. That will open a little dialog box - then you highlight & copy the info. in the "properties" line - that's the pic address. Then you paste that info. into the DIS edit icon that looks like a mountain with the sun in the corner. If you copy the WHOLE properties line thing you will end up with the "http://" part on it twice after you paste the info. so before you close the box & post it you have to delete that first http:// part so you're not duplicating any part of the address. Does that make sense? It's sorta hard to explain but so let me know if you can follow that or not. :goodvibes

Thank you Annie for your tips on posting things on the thread. And don't worry, if I can't figure it out I always have a teenager to teach me. :lmao:

I'll dedicate it some time this weekend :surfweb:

Hi there - I just booked this cruise today. I was on the phone with DCL and realized I had two reservations for a 7 day Eastern Cruise this October. I had booked in 2008 on the Magic, and then again in 2009 on the Wonder. So I needed to cancel or move the reservation. I decided to move it to this cruise!

It sounds like it will be a lot of fun!

Well Hello CarrianneB, welcome to this thread. :welcome:

I'm so glad, now I have someone to chat and/or ask for advice. :chat:

What else did DCL tell you about this cruise anything worth sharing ?

I made my reservation last December 2009 while on the Magic and Yes I was overloaded on Pixie Dust so all I did was say yes to everything the Sales Manager sugested; I gues something similar happend to you when booking two cruises on the same date: Pixie Dust Overload. :lmao:

If you didn't notice there are only 23 posts to this thread but we have 305 visits so there is very good pontential to make this the best cruise ever ! :disrocks:

So here is some more pixie dust to all of us pixiedust:

Oh, have you been to the Mediterranean before ?

DCL told me very little about the cruise, but that's mainly because I researched on my own. We have cruised with DCL three times before, The 7 day western in 2007 & 2008, and the 3 day bahamas in 2009. We are heading out on the 7 day eastern in October. So this will be our first Med Cruise. We are really looking forward to it!

We have been to Italy and France before, but there are some new cities for us in the mix here, and the boys will only have been to Venice Italy before the cruise. So it will be all new to them!

 Yay! Somebody else on MRAven's boat!! :thumbsup2

Thank you Annie, I've seen that yor thread has started to get crowded.

:jumping1:

I've been doing some internet research and what I have found is that mostly all efforts on filling up the ships is focused on "The Dream" with all of that new stuff that it has, considering we are still not quite around the corner.

Personally I'm more about the itinerary then the boat; lucky for me DCL still has lots of itineraries and with two new ships comming in there wont be any problem to to enjoy both things for a very long time

Among us I'm the only one that has been to Europe begore. DW and DD have never crossed the Atlantic so for them expectations are very high.

Our state room is No. 6633 it's an inside room. I learned on our DCL first cruise that the fun is all over the ship and spent very very little time in the verandah; instead we prefer to buy DCL merchindise and pay for $ 20 perfect pictures.

:woohoo:

http://muchomagico.weebly.com/dclbarcelona-port-check-in.html

Some information regarding the port in barcelona.

Oh my Gosh ! What an organization ! I went around the whole page and it's really really good. I had no idea some groups went to this level :worship:

The best thing I picked up regarding the port info is that it's an average 30 minutes from any where in Barcelona, it practically gives you the whole morning on sailing date.

A Anie check this page out.

Oh, by the way; excuse my manners:

A Annie, meet CarrianneB

CarrianneB, meet A Annie, from the Aug 13th thread.

Yay ! two Annes :yay::yay:

Hello Carrianne - welcome to MRAven's cruise! I am a lurker from the Aug. 13 cruise thread - we have all sort of been hanging out together & visiting each others threads just to keep each other company. It can be lonely to be an early booker!!

That is so funny...I had already seen that website and had it bookmarked!!!:thumbsup2 I am planning to do one eventually too (if I can figure out how to do it & make it look good) and they have some valuable info. there! I want to capture the Barcelona info. etc. I also like the handy money converter link. I am going to check out the same place that she used to make that one. We had a website on my last cruise too... Later, once we got to know each other (we all booked really early too) the girl who did ours organized weekly or bi-weekly trivia games to see if we could match up the facts with the person! You know, who said this or who did that or lives where - that kind of stuff. Multiple choice games...we played it sort of like the board game Clue. It was fun.:goodvibes

Annie,
That sounds like so much fun! I've just started my research for this cruise -it was a bit spur of the moment. I'm big into passporter, but I don't think the 2011 comes out until the end of the year. So surfing the net will have to do! It's nice to meet both of you - but we'll be waving to you when you depart :( for you ;) for us ! It should be a great itinerary!

And Annie - which DC suburb? My DH is originally from MD (North of Reisterstown) and we lived there in the early 90's.

And MRaven - you are officially the first person I've ever known from Venezula. That's a spot that is on the bucket list for the future!

Reisterstown is sort of near Baltimore isn't it? We live in upper Montgomery County, just north of Germantown. We are right off of I-270, about 21 miles north of DC...and 20 minutes south of Frederick. It takes us about 1 hour to drive to BWI.:goodvibes

Well, a real pleasure meeting you too. Also you are my first Wisconsians (is this spelled right ?) Although I used to watch a lot "That 70's Show", I beleive they ment it to be in Wisconsin. :goodvibes

Regarding the bucket list here's a foot note for it, Google them:

Angel Falls: World's talest waterfall in the world's oldest territory. Disneys movie Up gives a great highlight.

Los Roques: Best place to be on the Caribbean. George Bush Senior used to come here on a private yatch to fish.

Nope, it didn't work the first time, but I did see it on the preview.

Let's givi it another tray. At this time I can see the banner on the preview post.

2nd attempt and It did not work. Sorry I will remain Bannerless for a while until I figure it out.

The ticker does say: 1 Year, 5 months and 25 days until it's time !

Hummm...and so you see it when you preview it but we can't once you save your siggie? Are you putting it at the TOP as the first thing in your siggie? There is a size limit as to how many lines long your siggie can be. Maybe it's just DOWN too far if you're putting it at the end?! Does the code that you're copying look similar to this?

http://www.**************/id/1269673175.png[/img ]

Try putting it as the first thing in your siggie then reduce the font size on your other lines & cut out the blank spaces or something... Maybe? Just a thought?! Can't wait to see it!
