My thread is up to like about 946 views...but no new peeps yet!! I wonder who's stalking us!! :confused3

Your new siggie pic looks good...:thumbsup2

Not stalkers, Maraunders pirate:

Oh, and thank's. Captain Jack Sparrow was there that night. pirate:

Hi there - just giving ya a neighborly bump up!!:goodvibes

We are still sticking to what is our "1st Nice to Have Itinerary" :

Arrive from Venezuela at Madrid around 6 am (waste one day on Jet Lag)
Madrid: 4 nights. One day tour to Toledo.
Barcelona: 4 nights. One day tour to Monserrat.
DISNEY MAGIC CRUISE
Fly Back to Venezuela.

Maybe considere Tenerife on our way back since I want to make it for a complete 3 weeks vacation so I still have a few day to consider.

Hey there MrA and CarrianneB - what's up? Just givin' ya a bump back up to page 1 for the weekend!:goodvibes

We go to FL in ONE WEEK!!

Ok - I've been watching a lot of basketball. It's the national college tournament here and my team won today! Go Badgers!!

On a side note, my addiction continues. I had one more duplicative on board booking to deal with so we booked a short 3 day cruise on the dream next February. So I now have two more cruises before this one!

I can't wait until the new passporter comes out so I can start planning for all these fun trips!

Well, you will sure hit that Gold Castaway Memebership really soon. At my rate and planed future cruises it will take me about 5 more years.:snooty:

So this are my Nice to Heve future DCL cruises:

1st take the Mediterranean which is already booked. :cheer2:

2nd the 5 nights Bahama on the Dream.

3rd Go back to Europe but this time take the north itinerary with about 12 nights and go from Dover to St. Petesburgh. This is a big one and will require a lot of financial planning considering at least one week in England and one week in France. This one will give me my Gold Castaway Memebership

4th Take tha Wander and go to Alaska.

5th Waiting for the Fantasy to see which itineraries they offer but really wish for: Hawaii and/or Estern Mediterranean, that is Greece and soroundings. pixiedust:

After that, I have no Idea :rotfl:

Lucky gal CarrianneB! :rotfl: And then there are those of us who must be content with taking a DCL once every 3 or 4 years... At this rate it's going to take us a LONG time to hit Gold CC status. I DO hope we can rebook on our Med cruise to get a discount on one of the new ships....

Yes - we are pretty fortunate. The disney cruise is usually our one guaranteed vacation a year. It's a fluke that I had these duplicate bookings (with on board discounts and credits). So I felt the need to use them! The Dream cruise will be our gold cruise!

As for my "would love to do" cruises -

Transatlantic
Panama Canal
Alaska
Northern Med to Russia

All are pretty unlikely for me - but you never know. I would never have thought I would be on this cruise!

And Annie - I would think you can rebook and keep the discounts etc. That's what I did and it was no issue at all.

I have a request for all of those visiting Florida: ;)

 If you happen to go to Universal, please check out the new Harry Potter :wizard: attraction and let us all know your experience, It's suposed to be really good.

I'm not sure, if there is one in England to compare it with.

Hey MrA - We usually just stick to our DVC / WDW (and free DME transportation) but have kicked around the idea of visiting Universal...when I was planning for this trip next week I tried to find an opening date for the new Harry Potter land or whatever it is but all they're saying so far is "opening spring 2010". Well, so it's SPRING but I don't think it's open yet and have not heard a definitive date for it. So I didn't make plans to rent a car or to go over there or anything. I suppose it will have to wait for our next trip to FL...whenever THAT may be I just don't know yet... We've been going 2-3 times per year the past few years but have decided to let our AP's expire this next time when they run out and are planning a beach vaca instead for this summer to save money...then of course NEXT year is the Med so I don't know if we'll try to slip another trip in or not. Maybe CarrianneB will fit it in amongst all of her cruises!!:goodvibes :confused3

I stayed at the Portofino Bay Hotel (Universal Resot - Highly Recomended) during December 19th - 21st when we got off the Disney Magic and they gave us an invitation for the opening on March 15th, 2010. So it should open very, very soon.

While at the park we were able to see part ot the construction site and it is really big, it's literally a small town. DD took a picture and you can see Howards towers. If only I could learn how to post pictures here I would share ti with you. :confused3

Anyway, don't miss the chance if it's opened while you are there.

Also A Anie, they are offering great concerts for Mardigrass, groups like Beach Boys, KC and Sunshine Band, Cool and the Gang, Chicago, etc... At least my kind of music. :yay:

I was thinking that it might make sense to stay an extra day this october to check it out! Very tempting. But more likely that we'll check it out next Feb or March. It seems very cool!

And I am still so surprised that no one else has joined our happy little group yet. Oh well - that just means you are getting rock star fish extender gifts on this trip!

Really CarrianneB, it's just us so far, with a good Cruise friend. But, we have been checked out. I guess cruisers wannabe's just cant make up their minds on their cruise dates. They have decided they want to take the cruise, just don't know when to take it.

All I can say is that they are still welcomed; if they have any questions or comments to help them make a decision. Just remeber, it's all about the Magic ! :wizard:

So here's a little pixiedust: to all of you.

A very Happy Easter to everyone

Too many people such as me, it's a very long weekend here. A whole 8 days

So to the :beach: it is !

The weather here has been a little crazy; here we have two mayor seasons: Sunny Hot and/or Rainy Hot. Well, it's been 6 months of very Sunny Hot, NO RAIN at all, so everything is very dry. So much that the most important hydroelectric Dam (it's called Guri) in the Amazone, something like Hoover Dam, is almost to a stop afecting electricity supply. It should have rained two months ago, but nothing ! Angel Falls are disiponting tourists because ther's an Angel but a very little Fall.

Once again A very Happy Easter to everyone So to the :beach: it is !

We don't really have a long weekend, but do have a spring break. No sun for me, but get to visit old friends in Germany. So that will be very fun!

Hello, I'm back from the beach; had a great hot sunny week. :cool1:

The Dis for the Magic 2011 cruises have been kind of slow for everyone; not jus us; even the STICKY board is at the bottom of the stickys

CarrianneB, are you back from Germany ? Hope you had a great time, maybe you conviced your friends to take a cruise, let's say in the Med sometime around Aug, 20th 2011 ! :rolleyes1

Anal Annie, how was you trip to FL ? Noted a post on you Dis on the cubes and what I think is the resort where you stayed where you compare suites I think; is that a Disney resort ?

Here is a question I asked on the Mom Panel at the Disney web page regarding teens that I would like to share with you all just in case anyone is in a similar situation:

Answered by: Karen P, from NH. So thank you Karen for such a wanderful response :rotfl:

Question: Hi Mom's, We have booked 7 day Med. Cruise for Aug 20th, 2011. We'll celebrate our daughters 18th birthday on the 21st. She will be 17 when boarding but 18 while sailing. Will she be able to enjoy both worlds? Teen and adult activities like Palo ?

Answer: Hi Manuel, Welcome to the Moms Panel, and how exciting that you've booked a birthday voyage with your daughter! Once she is 18, she is more than welcome to utilize all of the adult-only areas of the ship. Since she is boarding the ship while she is still 17, she can still be considered a "child" for programming purposes....so yes, it is the best of both worlds!

So, at least for us it's a really good answer. :cheer2:

Hey guys! Happy SPRING!!! Glad everyone seems to have had a nice spring break. Our trip to FL last week was WAAY too short (6 nights but we didn't get in until like midnight the first night so it FELT really short) with just 5 days really down there for the parks. The parks were JAM PACKED!! Beginning last Monday the Magic Kingdom was full to capacity by mid-morning each day!!:scared1: Closed to general admission for several hours each day until people started leaving in the late afternoon (after the parade). Since we have annual passes we could still get in but the lines for the monorail were LOOOONNGGG and the buses were full. By mid-day the standby waits for most attractions were over 100 minutes at just about everything! I even saw a post by somebody that said the wait for Toy Story Mania at DHS was 175 minutes the other day!! THAT is INSANE!! That's almost 3 HOURS! TSM is cute but it is NOT worth all that!!

MrA - we own DVC (Disney Vacation Club) so we always stay onsite in one of the DVC resorts...This is Disney's version of a timeshare. I guess you're referring to my comparison on my cruise thread of the Animal Kingdom DVC at Jambo House (the original building) to the new AK DVC building which is called Kidani Village.:confused3 We had stayed at Jambo House before and this trip we stayed over at Kidani...we decided we like Jambo House better overall. The newest member of my cruise meet is going this summer and is staying at Jambo House so she was wondering about them in comparison to each other.

Glad to hear your DD will able to have the best of both worlds on your cruise.:thumbsup2

Let's see if I can tell you how to post pictures...first you need to upload them to a 3rd party site like photobucket or Shutterfly or Snapfish or someplace where you order your pictures from online. Then you open the picture on that website that you want to post & right click on it which should open a dropdown box which shows the "properties" for the picture. Then you highlight & copy the info. in the "properties" and paste it into the DIS under the yellow icon that looks like a mountain with a sun in the top corner. It will most likely duplicate the "http//:" part so you will want to erase anything in the beginning that is a duplicate. It will paste the picture at the same size as what you have open on your 3rd party site - so if you click on a picture in a thumbnail size and copy the properties from there it will post it as a thumbnail here. So be sure to open the picture & right click on it OPENED in order to post it at a normal size. I always preview my post before I finish to be sure I copied it right.:thumbsup2
