Should big Business companies like Disney take responsiblilty for their actions if they are considered to be persons?

Big business companies should take responsibility for their actions, period.
Medium business companies should take responsibility for their actions, period.
Small business companies should take responsibility for their actions, period.
Partnerships business companies should take responsibility for their actions, period.
Individual business companies should take responsibility for their actions, period.
Government business companies should take responsibility for their actions, period.
Non-profit business companies should take responsibility for their actions, period.
Being "considered to be persons" - whatever that means, has no effect on whether any business should take responsibility for its actions.

Big Business should be responsible as should any organization that represents a group of people.

Companies need to take responsibility for their actions regardless of how they are classified when it comes to political donations.

The problem is determining whether an action was taken by a company, or an employee acting on their own. That is why so many corporations don't put anything in writing, no paper or electronic trail so there is no evidence that the employee wasn't acting on their own.

And that is why I would always, always get things in "writing". At least e-mail. If I was told something, I would follow up in e-mail for verification. and keep copies. I always got in trouble w/ the IT dept b/c I always had too many saved e-mails. It is a "dog eat dog" world out there and you have to CYA; no one else will.

The real problem here is the title of the thread. Those two words don't go together.

I hold the mouse responsible...:rolleyes1

Never happen at many place. They put NOTHING in writing or in an e-mail, it is all verbal.

Yes, big business and any businesses should act responsibly.

But that doesn't necessarily mean giving you what you want for as cheap a price as you can imagine.

They're responsible to their shareholders. They're responsible to their employees, in terms of providing a living wage and a safe workplace. They're responsible for upholding all the laws that regulate them. They're responsible for doing what's in their power to remain competitive.

They're not responsible for making their product available to anyone who wants it, for the price they name or deem "fair."
