Off to meet a Dis friend MelissaE1 today for some shopping- she will do most of it! The economy is hurting everyone! Plus we found out last week DH will leave for a 5 month trip to Germany. He leaves right after Sam graduates from college. So that means I will have to move my son out of his dorm into an appartment and get Sam to her next place of employment alone. ugh. I need to work on strengthening my back. Lot of moving involved. I will cross that bridge when I come to it. Not much to complain about when I have friends here out of employment and with sick loved one.s All will be in my thoughts and prayers...

Stephanie came home complaining about not feeling well last night, so we'll have to see how she is this morning. I told her that if she doesn't have a fever she's going to school - she didn't seem happy Personally, I think she doesn't want to go to school to take a test today, but I didn't tell her that - if I'm wrong I'll hurt her feelings, and if I'm right, then I don't want her altering her fakey ways


cheeringmom - I'm sorry to hear of your DH leaving for 5 months There is a chance that Kevin could go to Germany too for a significant amount of time, but I have no idea when. Kevin doesn't think it will be in 2009, but maybe 2010. I hope your DH has a safe trip, and does well there for 5 months - that's a long time

NC Beast's parents update: MIL is back home to their apartment. She had an intestine blockage that required surgery and she had to spend 4 days in the hospital until she past wind. She is doing okay---tired/sore. NC Beast talked to her, but she fell asleep before I had a chance to talk to her. FIL is doing okay (short conversation since took his hearing aid out). He says that he feels great and teases his wife being full of it. They promised us that they would behave at their local son's housewarming/new year party tomorrow.

We have had some nice temps in the 50s for the past two days. We forgot to get salt for the next snow/ice.

I was hoping to take advantage of today's Southwest ding, but the timing is not right yet. We love Crystal Palace for breakfast, but last summer...we had an early dinner that was good too.

Look, the Tag Fairy paid me a visit!! It is a long one and I lost my other tags, but I do love it!!

Ooh the Tag Fairy just changed my tag again, now it is all different colours.

We have just had a special visit from the Tag Fairy herself on the chat thread on the Disneyland Paris board. All the folks chatting on it have been tagged. My friend Emma has 3 scrolling tags that say I'm special and stink of sick!! She had just posted that her daughter was poorly last night and was sick on her and she can still smell it!! Oh dear!!

well I am off to run some errands and then clean and make a lasgna .. DH and I decided that since I was home that I could save some $$$ by making things from scratch again.. so no more convenient foods for us.. I looked at Sams for flour and a 25 lb bag is $9.. guess I'll have to think of ways to use that.. 25 lbs?? how do i store that?? and what do i do with all of that???

Thanks for asking about me! Things are great. It's been really hectic with all the training but I start for real tomorrow. I'm excited but pretty nervous. My roomies are really cool. A few of them have never been to Disneyworld so we've been having fun checking out the parks and all the good food. Thanks for the well wishes

What a cold morning - it's 3 degrees outside
I'm so glad Sophie is still sleeping


Saturday Kevin and I took the girls to the Indianapolis and went to The Indiana State Museum and to The Indianapolis Motor Speedway - it was a nice family day!!!! The museum was interesting, but we didn't take to long going through it, because Katie doesn't have much patience. I noticed they have an audio tour, so I told Kevin that I would like to come back there, without the kids, to do that. We are thinking of different ways to have nice family days without spending a lot of money.


Yesterday when I went out to my car to go to church and work - it was dead I immediately knew it was the battery, but I was home alone, and there was nothing I could do. So when Kevin came home from work, he got a new battery and fixed everything. By this time though, I was so involved with working around the house, that I stayed home - so I have a lot of work ahead of me at work today.

Last night the girls and I went with my friend and her DD to her church for something called KidzBlitz. It was show where that was Bible based, and it had kids come up from the audience to play all these wacky games - it was so much fun!!! Our kids were not picked to play, but they had tons of fun watching other kids.

Well, I need to go workout this morning, because I haven't worked out since last Monday. I have been so bad about working out lately, but I'm so bored with being inside, and the winter always makes me feel so unenergetic. I can hardly wait until the time change!!

SLO you are not the only one unmotivated to work out. I did get the Wii Fit and although it is not a great workout it is fun. Lauren and I do it together everyday!

Ariel, do you watch HGTV? I love that channel. You should check out Rate my Space online and get a ton of ideas there. You can even post pics of your troubled rooms and people will give you advice. Just a thought. We want to redo our kitchen and would love to have Candace Olsen come in and do it but that is a dream.....she is awesome

Evening everyone,
Boy what a long day at work!! I had an advisor in my English lesson this morning doing some 'lesson dipping', aparently the new name for being observed!! Not sure how it went as they didn't say!

Today I have been busy getting ready for the field trip I am taking my kids on on Wednesday. We are going to Sulgrave Manor as part of our history topic on the Tudors. Sulgrave Manor is near to us and in the ancestoral home of George Washington (George Washingtons Great, Great Grandfather was the Mayor of our town) and he built the house. We get to dress up in period costume and learn about the house in the 1600's. I have been a few times before and it is great fun!!

Slo Sorry the car battery died, I hate it when that happens.

Cheeringmom I'd had my old tags for 3 of 4 years too. Some people on the DLRP chat thread I post on got tagged and I mentioned how old my tags were. Then the next day I got my new one. Whilst we were chatting on the thread the tag fairy was editing our posts and adding pixie dust to them!!

Yesterday was a very dull day.
The store was dead, so I was able to get a decent amount done
I'm praying for some business today, but I think many people don't want to go out in this cold


Did any of you watch Govenor Blagovich (sp?) on GMA or The View?
He is such an idiot!!! Does he really think that people believe him?! While I ate my lunch, I watched replays of him on abc.com, and I just can't believe this guy. I would be so embarrassed if I was his wife.


Speaking of abc.com - if any of you like Charlie Gibson (I love this guy!!! I could listen and watch him all day - he is so likeable!!) I found that he broadcasts live in the afternoon on abc.com. I'm so excited about this, because I will catch up on my news while I eat my lunch. Watching online is the same as watching on tv - he has interviews and everything - pretty cool!!!


cheeringmom - I love my Wii Fit too, but my only issue is the amount of time between each activity. I wish you could sometimes do it w/o knowing your points and just jump front from one activity to another. I am going to look into the Jillian Michaels game, and see how that is. I don't care for her, but her game looks like a good workout, so we'll see.
