I am in quite a good mood this afternoon as my package arrived from WDW travel!! As we have always been with our friends before staying on DVC points I have never had the Disney travel package arrive before. So we have our tickets, viewing area passes, dining plan vouchers etc. We ordered our $$ last week, so now we just have to wait another 3 1/2 weeks!!

The back garden work is coming along nicely today. This morning I painted the new doors and wood outside (although it was so windy most of the paint blew on to me instead of going on to the wood!!), the frame is down for the deck and Pete is just putting in the pergola uprights right now. So by the end of tomorrow the deck should be built But that then means I have to go out and paint all the wood. Hopefully the wind will have died down by the end of the week so I won't get covered in paint again!!

Well I better go and out the kettle on and do the dishes from dinner.

Good morning everyone.

Today is another cloudy day here, but at least it isn't raining (yet!!) Pete is just finishing the deck off now, then he needs to go to the DIY store to get some brckets to build the walkway to the deck which will go over the pond. Then this afternoon we will hopefully put in the pergola bits on the top (as long as the rain holds off!). So everything is coming together nicely.

At the moment I am trying to re arrange parts of our WDW trip. I just found out the shuttle launch which we got tickets for has been changed so I need to phone up the tour company to get our money back. I think that is a good thing though as the money we spent on that we could hire a car for the week for, which is what we are going to do instead. Then we can keep an eye on the shuttle info and decide if we are going to drive out there ourselves to see it. Then I need to phone up and cancel our magical express reservation and book the hire car instead. I think I will prefer having a car when we are on site anyway, although we will probably use the busses more, having the car will be more flexable.

Oh well, I guess I should get on with things, have a great day everyone.

We had such an AWESOME family day yesterday!!!
The weather at the zoo was great, the animals were really active, dinner at Olive Garden was yummy, and then we shared some bday cake with our neighbors, and then Kevin and my neighbors DH lit off some fireworks for Steph's bday.
Stephanie had such a memorable day - it was really special!!!!

I will show her posts when she wakes up this morning.
She will feel very special after reading them


I have to get going and get to work early, because I have to get caught up from yesterday.

NC Belle - I missed the posts about your FIL's passing. I am very sorry for your loss. Glad you have returned home safely. It does sound like a very good celebration of his life and of family coming together.

I puppysat Penny last night, and she was so good!!!! Sophie was a little confused though, and didn't seem very happy about all the attention that she was getting. I also think that she thought she was staying, and she because much happier once Penny left. She'll just have to get used to Penny, because she'll be visiting alot


Well, the shower is calling, and I must go, so I can get to work.
I'm continuing to stay very steady, which is totally awesome!!!
If this steadiness continues through Christmas, that would be totally awesome!!!! I would love to get ahead a little, so the dead winter months won't be so stressful for me.

Yay it's nearly the weekend!! The weather has been awful here today, really heavy rain (like Florida summer rain) and thunder. We did manage to get some more DIY done, I had hoped to paint the fence, new deck and pergola today, but that will have to wait until the weather picks up. So I did some housework instead, I hate the house when we are doing DIY, between our feet and the cats paws sawdust gets everywhere! We have our friends coming over in an hour for dinner though, so I really needed to get cleaned!! Tomorrow my Auntie and 2 Uncles are coming for a visit from Leeds. They are bringing their van so we can take all our old bits of shed and garden stuff to the tip. Then we are going to have a BBQ and use the new deck.

Slo It is great that your shop is getting busy, I hope it carries on this way.

Well I guess I better go and hit the shower before my friends arrive. Have a great evening everyone.

I'm a little tired this morning from working until 11pm last night.
When I came home, I told Kevin that the only time I sat down yesterday was in my car, and to eat breakfast and dinner - outside of that, I was on my feet all day.
I need to try and get to work a little early today, because I still have so much to do. I would have liked to stay at work later, but Kevin wanted me to come home with the storm rolling in.


Danauk - That's a bummer that the weather is preventing you from working outside. I hope it clears up soon

Good evening everyone,
Well the weather finally improved here to day and we were able to get more work done outside. My Auntie and 2 Uncles also came down for the day to help us (my uncle has a van so he was halping us take the old shed, bag of ivy etc to the recycle centre.) So the outside part of our project is nearly finished, in fact if it does not rain tomorrow we should have it all completed by the end of the day. Then we just have the inside to do!! But hopefully we should have everything completed by the end of the week.

Slo Wow that was a long day you had yesterday! Although it is great that your store is doing well at the moment. We decided to cook for our friends last night, we had a good evening.

Well seen as it is a beautiful evening here, I think I might go and have a glass of wine on the new deck in my back garden!!

Stephanie's birthday pool party was a success
The weather was perfect
The girls played nice together
Then after the party was over, my neighbor came over with her girls to swim (these girls are small, and they are coming to Katie's pool party).
We were outside until 8:30pm
It was a great day!!!!!


Danauk - I"m glad your family was able to help you get some work done outside You'll have to take some more pictures of the garden when everything is done - your yard is beautiful!!!!

Good afternoon everyone,
I can't believe the weather we are having at the moment, I thought it was supposed to be summer!! It won't stop raining.

Today we are doing a little more DIY. Luckily we have most of the outdoor work done now, we just have some indoor stuff to do. This afternoon we are going to my favourite garden centre to get another cascade for the pond, since we put the new pond in the old 2 cascades aren't long enough, so we need a 2nd longer one. Then we just need to put the edging around the pond, paint the deck (which isn't going to happen any time soon in this weather!), put the new lighting up and we are done.

Slo I'm glad Stephanie had fun at her pool party. I will definately take a picture to share once the work is finished.

Well I better go, I just managed to do a few pin trades with some people so I need to get the pins wrapped up and down to the post office. I have done well this week, I have traded 6 UK limited edition pins for 6 US limited edition pins that I wanted. I am quite pleased with that.

Boy it has been quiet around here lately! I guess you guys are all enjoying your summer.

Well I managed to get a little more painting done on the deck yesterday, I got the back fence and the gate painted before the rain started (luckily the pain had dried!) I bought the paint for the pergola, I decided on a pale blue to go with the fence. I was going to paint that today, but the weather forcast is rain until Friday. I guess I'll have to paint then.

Not much new going on by me - just working alot!!!!
I'm trying very hard to get a lot done at work, so I don't have to stress about it this weekend, because the girls family bday party is Sunday. With the party comes cleaning, and everything else - lot of work!!!
But it's worth it, because I love seeing everyone, and the girls love being the center of attention

Good morning everyone,
Well I don't have much to do today, it is still raining so I can't finish my outdoor painting. I could do a lot of house work, but there is little point when we are doing DIY, as soon as I have finished it looks like it did ebfore I started! I do need to go do a grocery shop though and take the cats to the vets for their annual injections.

Seewhat102 degrees, wow! It is around 65 here at the moment. I must say I am looking forward to the 90 degree Florida heat in a few weeks time.

Cheeringmom Congratulations on Sam getting a job.

Slo I hope you get your work done and your house sorted in time for the party.

I'll feel embarrassed if this has been there for weeks, and I've just seen it today.

I'm feeling very tired this morning
After work yesterday I was at a town meeting until 9pm.
Tonight will be busy too. I'm leaving work and then picking up some items for a client, and then going to one of the places they are putting their art, and seeing the decor of the place. Sometimes I feel like I'm an interior decorator, when I'm not - it's the fun part of my job!!!! Then we have a little shopping to do for the party, so we'll be getting home later again tonight


cheeringmom - I have been quite busy lately After this party is over, I won't have anymore planned events at the house until Thanksgiving So I'm hoping to eventually get some Sundays where I can sleep in, and relax a little bit.
