Escape to Neverland - A new Tagliarchy adventure!!

Good Morning everyone,
Well it seems the rain has finally stopped this morning so we can get on with the garden work. The rabbits are not very happy though as they are not allowed out of their hutch whilst we are working out there. Since we are taking the shed down and until the new deck is being built the garden is no longer secure and I don't want them to escape! RRBB my artifact is most appropriate at the moment, especially seen as the new deck will have a dridge over our pond!

Geffric I'm glad you had fun with your relatives, where are you staying on your October WDW trip?

RRBB I didn't realise you were going to Disneyland not WDW. We loved DL when we went last year. Where are you staying at?
As for rides I am sure the kids would love the Storybook land canal boats and Casy Jr circus train which are not at WDW (they are at DLRP as well though), the Pooh ride, the whole of Toon Town as it is so much better than WDW and of course the Nemo subs. I'm not sure what the current state of the building work at Californian Adventure is, I certainly would love to go back to DL once that is all completed.

Everyone else Hi there, I hope you all have a great day.

Well I guess I had better go and do some work, the truck has just pulled in front of our house with all the supplies from the DIY store on.

Well gang - it's the start of another week:upsidedow
I'm looking forward to this week, because I'm not working on Wednesday, so that'll be nice:)

Danauk - Sounds like you are really keeping busy. I bet you are so proud of you garden:goodvibes You'll have to show us some updated pictures when your latest project is finished.
**The girls are sort of enjoying summer. With me working so much, they aren't able to do alot of things we normally do - going to the park, picnics, and other activities. The weather is really cool here, so they haven't been able to use the pool either, so that bumms them out. If I had to rate their summer experience, it would be about a 75% this year.
**They are returning to school on August 21st (Katies bday). In fact, I'm having Kevin make Katie a t-shirt that says "It's my birthday, I"m so glad you all could make it" I thought that would be funny for her to wear her first day of school
**Thanks for your kind thoughts about the store - I appreciate it!!!:goodvibes

BlueBayou - Thanks for the good wishes for my mom's dog:goodvibes. I need to call her today and see how she is doing. As of Saturday, she was doing better, but still not eating her dog food, so my mom has been boiling her some chicken.

geffric - I bet you are looking forward to your trip:cool1:. How's the packing going? Are you looking forward to having some heat? I bet you'll be able to swim down there

RRBB - How upsetting about the A.C.:headache: I hope you are able to get that fixed soon :wizard: Did the kids wake up early in the other room, or were they able to sleep in?
*Thanks for the kind thoughts on my mom's dog and my store - I appreciate it!!!:goodvibes

Well, I gotta go and get the hair dye out of my hair.
When I went on the Chicago thread I said that I needed to go put dye in my hair, which I did, and now it's time for it to come out. I'm so glad I can DIS while waiting for my hair to get done :teeth:

Have a great day today everyone!!!

HELLO TAGLIKINS!

It's your missing friend, ibouncetoo! :rolleyes1

I've been bad about posting as I've been spending a lot of time on the WISH, WDW and cruise forums. I'm coaching the Biggest Looser thread this week and am in major WDW/Cruise planning mode.

:grouphug: For NC Belle & Beast.

RRBB, with a six day hopper at DLR you can do EVERYTHING...several times over! The Matterhorn and Indiana Jones are not in FL and Pirates, Winnie the Pooh, Haunted Mansion are all slightly different than their FL counterparts. Are you staying at one of the DLR hotels?

Hope everyone has a good week...I'll be checking in.

Oh, and also:

:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHEERINGMOM!:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Just a quick post this morning as I have to take the kids to camp in a few minutes.

RRBB I didn't realise you were going to Disneyland not WDW. We loved DL when we went last year. Where are you staying at?

You weren't mistaken, we are going to WDW in October. But OF came home last week and said he needed a vacation - NOW - so planned a week at DL. Since we're be at both parks so close together - 6 days at DL/DCA then 10 days at WDW - I'd like to try to do attractions at DL that can't be found at WDW.

Thanks for all the great suggestions for DL. (I'm not familiar with work beign done at DCA. I guess I should check into that.)

OF left so many messages last night and this morning, that the AC guy should be here within the hour. He's going to replace the 3 ton unit they just installed last week with a 3.5 ton and also replace the coil. (I thought they were doing the 3.5 to begin with, that's what the AC guy said when he initially came out. Don't know why they went with just the 3.)

Gotta scoot now. Camp starts soon...

Happy B;day CMOM.. and many more.. are you going to hold of the real celebration until Dh comes home???

Seen as I am not very creative with these sorts of things I'll just copy Slo to wish you a happy birthday! :cake:

We are still in Baltimore till Tuesday evening. We had 4 visitation/viewings on Saturday and Sunday including Cardinal Keeler (he was involved in the Pope selection several years back). Today, we had the funeral with 20 celebrants and 2 choirs (my fil belonged to both). We are doing okay so far. Mil is starting to allow herself to grieve more now that the service planning/occurred. She took it hard the first time that she went to her son's house and not seeing FIL hanging out in the man's room with guys.

I made an error in judgement this afternoon. I decided to joined others in trying to swing on a vine at the local's son's house. My sis in law and 4 of the grown cousins went ahead of me and they were able to swing...but, they fell or got bang up a little. Well, my niece gave me this look and asked me to swing. So in my new sunday/go to church clothes...I grabbed the vine and slipped...fell/drag half way down the hill...tore up my Spanx. I got up and was starting to put on some gloves to help in a second attempted...my MIL came running and yelling don't do it aqgain. I didn't know that she saw my attempt because of most of the family and friends cheered me on. My nephews thought it was cool that I tried. My oldest bil thinks that my sis-in-law, her hubby (the #2 son), and the cousins (plus me) had gone insane. It was a good tension release, but we are sore tonight. NC Beast was nervous during my jungle girl moment. I have to tone down the funb for awhile.

Well what a miserable day it is here again. Pete is still doing the DIY work, but luckily we looked at the weather forecast yesterday and got all the outside painting done before the rain started today. So today we are able to do some inside work, Pete is fixing a new door onto the garden room, then we have to put up some plaster board for the new wall. The garden centre have just delivered my birthday present though, Pete got me a statue that I have wanted for years, but it is quite big and we had no where to put it until now. I will take a picture of it later, at the moment it is in the garage as the area we are going to put it in isn't done yet. Then this afternoon we are going to the cinema to see The Hangover, it looks quite funny from the trailers. I can't remember the last time I went to the cinema on a weekday afternoon!

NCBelle I'm glad the funeral went well, continued prayers for you, NCBeast and your families.

Everyone else, Hi there!! Hope you all have good days!

Good morning TAGLIKINS. Just a quick post because as usual I'm running late and the kids aren't up yet, either.

Do the HAPPY :cool1::cool1: DANCE twice over. 1) The AC is fixed - new unit and coil, and 2) our DL docs arrived yesterday!

NC Belle, glad to hear the service went well and everyone is hanging in there. Sounds like a great stress reliever, but I think now we need to call you NC Jane

Danauk, enjoy the movie. I haven't seen a movie in a theater since before Ian was born. I did try taking him to see a movie when he was about 14 months old, but by the time all the commercials and previews were over he was "done".

NC Belle - g;ad the funeral is over.. the hardest part is the first year .. and I thanks RRBB said it best.. NC Jane - vine swinging.. take care..

DanaUK - I saw the Hangover.. it was pretty good.. but my MAJOR mistake was taking my kids (16) with me.. Oh well!!

I am getting ready and going to get the car ready for the drive tomorrow.. should be a great time..I'l stop back maybe ..if I finish.. otherwise.. see ya later..

I agree Geffric, we really enjoyed the Hangover movie. We found it very funny, plus with Vegas being our favourite vacation spot alongside Disney we love any movie set in vegas (my classroom assistant from work is in Vegas right now, I am envious!) But I see what you mean about it being a little awkward to watch with your teens (especially when they view the camera pictures at the end!!)

No vine swinging today. NC Beast, his brothers, and I went to a driving range for a little while before we went to the airport. We had a good flight.

Well today seems a little more sunny so hopefully I can get some outdoor jobs done today. I need to do a little painting outside and Pete needs to finish clearing the area where the new deck is going to go so he can start to make the frame for it. Hopefully we won't have any rain today so we will be able to get a lot done. I really want to get the treated wood out of the garage as it smells so badly!!

NCBelle I am glad you and Beast are back home OK. Continued prayers for both of you.

RRBBI'm glad you got the AC fixed, I would hate for ours not to be working in our bedroom in all that heat!!

Slo How is work going? It sounds as if you are very busy at the moment.

Well I better go, I responded to a post on the community board yesterday about someone wishing they got some English chocolate when they were in Epcot. I posted I would be happy to send some, then I got quite a few PM's asking me to send chocolate to them, so I guess I need to go to the local shop to buy loads, package it up, then go to the post office to ship it out.

Have a great day everyone.

My baby is 11 today :eek::eek:
How can my baby be 11, when it was yesterday that I told you she's now double digits:confused:
I hate how time is flying!!!!

To celebrate Stephanie's bday, we are taking her to Lincoln Park Zoo (downtown Chicago) today (please pray for no rain). I asked my college employee to work today, so we could have a nice family day - Stephanie is very excited!!!!:yay: Then we are taking her out to dinner to Olive Garden - she loves this place (and I love that I have a gift card for there :thumbsup2 )

I read everyone's posts, and I'm sorry I don't have time to respond. I gotta get going and make our sandwiches for today (we always pack a lunch for the zoo). I'll try to catch up more soon.
Have a great day!!!

SLO - Have fun today and wish her a happy birthday..

NC B - glad your home and avoided the vine swinging.. LOL..

RRBB glad the AC is fixed.. I went looking for my Mickey climbing the Matterhorn pic.. but they were on many computers ago.. but do catch that if they still do it,, don't forget Roger Rabbit spin ride and the outside small world.. Pirates is different too..

Well time to finish packing the van, I am going to have a large coffee ( not decaf, real fully leaded coffee) and wait for Eric to finish his final and then drive 14 hours..

It will be fun when we get there..

Safe travels geffric.

Have fun at the zoo slo. And a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Stephanie.

Glad you're home safe and sound NC Belle.

Danauk, that's so nice of you to send chocolate to everyone. I'll do my anti-rain dance for you today.

I was too tired to make lunches last night so now I have to throw something together for the kids and get them up and out the door for camp.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning Taglikins!

slo, I used to live right down the street from Lincoln Park Zoo and would go there all the time (this was like 1972!). I would always stop in and visit with Mike the polar bear, may he rest in peace.

RRBB, are you going to be in DL over a weekend? Hmmmmmm........:scratchin

gefric, safe travels my friend.

NC Belle, (jungle woman), glad you are home safe and sound!

DanaUK, NEVER post about Cadbury chocolate! :lmao: I still kick myself about the type-0 on my mailing address I gave you all those years ago. I plan on grabbing a few bars in September while in Epcot.

Have a great day everyone.
