Escape From Reality - A Girls-ONLY F&W Nov 2016 PTR

November 10-14th @ Pop Century

So, let's get started! First, I will introduce myself! I am Tara, aka Teetah (pronunciation: teetaw). My nephew gave me that nickname when he first started trying to say "Aunt Tara". Later we found out from a Philippine friend of mine that "Teetah" is very close to the word "Aunt" in her families native language, (insert joke about my nephew's real father), which we all found rather bizarre. So, it stuck and now most of my friends and my husband's family call me that.

My passions include: Disney, photography, various musical instruments, fashion, and motorsports!

This trip came about because my normal partner in crime that you see in my TRs, my husband Tim, decided to sit out this year. He has lots of projects going on and we have 2 big trips for next year already planned and he wanted a travel break. He said he would come if I couldn't find a replacement, but I was pretty sure I could.

SO, my partner in crime for this trip is none other than my DSIL, Jennifer (here on the DIS as @PebblesMom ). She is a true-blue, die-hard Disney fanatic! She wrote a little intro for herself, and she may jump in with posts from time to time!

"Hi! I am Jennifer! Mom to two amazing little men who just started 1st and 3rd grade and wife to an awesome guy (who always supports my love of a big Mouse and his house)!

I am over the moon excited to be able to be writing a PTR right now! Never in a million years did I think I would be going to WDW this year and then one morning I got an email! My amazing SIL, Teetah, was offering to take me to F&W. Of course I said yes!

With school schedules and sports, I had resigned myself to the idea that F&W was out of the cards for me for the next few years. Then Teetah made an offer I couldn't refuse. With the agreement that I bring back souvenirs and that they get to go fishing, I had the blessing of all of the men in my house!

It's officially a girls trip!

My other joys in life....

Camping, hiking and fishing.
Gardening.
The TV show The Middle...yep my DH and I think it it uncanny how close they come to depicting our life..."

We are pretty pumped that this is girls-only! No hubs, no kids, no responsibilities....a definite ESCAPE FROM REALITY!

One really awesome perk for me personally is that since I am going with another female, as well as someone who is as big of a Disney fan (if not bigger) as I am, is we will be KILLING it on getting things accomplished in the parks. The Hubs like to take it easy on vacation and since he supports my Disney habit, I grant him that and we stay in a deluxe hotel and take our time.

NOT THIS TIME, YO!

We are keeping the digs cheap so we can buy more Disney food and things!



We both made our wish lists and ADR and FP+ booking came and went. Here is where we stand today!

Thursday the 10th: Epcot

· Flight 6:15am – 8:43am
· Arrive on MDE to Pop. Drop bags at Bell Services.
· Head to Epcot
· Spaceship Earth: 3:30pm—4:20pm
· Soarin: 5:40pm – 6:40pm
· Character Meet: 7:20pm-8:20pm
· Epcot closes at 9pm
· Maybe hit up a hotel lounge

Friday 11th: MK/HS

· MK EMH/Rope Drop 8am
· Buzz Lightyear: 9am-10am
· Jungle Cruise: 11:50am-12:50pm
· 12:40pm; Skipper Canteen ADR
· 7DMT: 4:30pm-5:30pm
· 5:40pm: BOG ADR
· Ticketed event starts at 7pm so head to HS for EMH 7p-9p
· Possible hotel lounge

Saturday 12th: AK/Epcot/MK

· AK EMH 8am
· Kilimanjaro Safaris: 9:15am-10:15am
· FOTLK: 10:30am
· Finding Nemo – The Musical: 12:30pm
· Maybe some F&W mid afternoon
· MK: Wishes! Open til 10pm
· GO TO BED.

Sunday 12th: Resort Hop & DS

· Boma 840am
· Rest/Resort Hopping/ Disney Springs
· Morimoto Asia or Burger place and Jock Lindsay w/ Ang & Chris
(Funny story here - one of my sisters (Ang) will be vacationing in the area with her Bubbalah, Chris - so we are meeting them for dinner and funs!)
· Hotel Lounge


Monday 13th: MK/Epcot

· MK EMH 8am
· Epcot
· Spaceship Earth: 12:10pm-1:10pm
· Frozen Ever After: 2:20pm-3:20pm
· Character Meet: 3:50pm-4:50pm
· F&W
· 4:30pm: DME to airport
· Flight 7:30pm – 9:53pm
Airport lounge. Duh.

UDPATE 11.2.16: TOURING PLANS & TEXT COUNTDOWNS​

As expected, I have not posted nearly as much as I wanted to! Life gets in the way rather frequently. As it should! My goal is to get our Disneybounding post up and maybe a Disney cocktail post.

About a week ago, this text madness started, tho...









We have had some minor updates to our touring plans with changes in Disney's park hours and adding of new things...so here is where we stand today. Within all of this, we are hoping to catch some of the holiday special recordings that will be happening while we are there, as well as hit some F&W performances.

Thursday: Epcot​

· Flight gets around 9am

· Arrive on MDE to Pop. Drop bags at Bell Services.

· Head to Epcot for F&W

· Spaceship Earth: 3:30pm—4:20pm

· Soarin: 5:40pm – 6:40pm

· Character Meet: 7:20pm-8:20pm

· Epcot closes at 9pm

· Maybe hit up a hotel lounge

Friday: MK/HS

· MK EMH/Rope Drop 7am

· JINGLE Cruise: 11:50am-12:50pm

I thought I would finish up this up with our Disneybounding plans and the DIY ears we did! We are only doing a few days. The photos are not fantastic, but you will get better ones in the TR!

Tara's Plans

Friday: The rose from Beauty and the Beast. We will be in MK mostly this day and dining at BOG, so it seemed appropriate! Hidden Mickey rose leggings and a set of DIY wire flower ears!



Saturday: Up theme! Adorable Up dress and DIY ears I made - big thanks to my MIL because I can't make a bow to save my life. So she made me the bow!



Monday: Figment! No photos yet.
