Okie dokie.
I keep getting lots of questions about my dress and its progress so i thought I would make a thread tracking it.
So Here is a list of What I need to make and pictures of what I have done so far.
A little bakground first. My DF and i are members of the SCA we do medieval re-enactment (warning I cant spell), we also are medieval fencers.
So we decided to have a themed wedding at disney.
My mom and I are avid sewers so I wanted to make my own dress. I was unable to ever find anything that was close to what I wanted.
I have been sketching this design of the dress since I was probly 15 (im 21 now yes yes Im young)
So I'm really excited to see my design go from paper to a real live dress
I chose purple for my dress color because I love the color!
My grandmother works at a bridal shop and she got ahold of a older detachable train which had beautiful lace and beading.
So we were able to cut it apart and use it in my dress. So thats were all my lace came from.
We are not haveing a traditional ceremony were doing a hand fasting indead (Its where the term tying the knot came from).
So were going to have diffrent colored strands of cord tied around out hands binding us together for eternity. Each color represents a part of a relationship thus binding the properties of it to us.
Red: passion
Black: dedication
White; Honosty
Silver: knowledge
Green: Growth and fertility
Blue: sereniy and understanding
Ok first here is my Ring e-ring and of course it is purple amethyst.
My wedding dress:
Here is a picture of my sleeve, my fav part of the dress
This shows some detail on the lace
While this shows the color of the fabric better
Here is a full shot. please understand that the skirt is not attached yet were just pinning the underskirt to get the leanth right.
Here is a better picture of the lace down the front.
Now the dress is going to have a over skirt, in the end the dress is going to look somwhat similar to this.
DRESS IS DONE!!!!
And we have pictures!!!!
Now for the bridesmaids.
This is the pattern for the bodice.
I am using the reverse side of my wedding dres fabric.
Were using the underbust design
Here it is in my fabric Its just missing gromits
They will be having white off shoulder linen chemises under the vest. With white leather ballet slippers and pearl accented jewelry

Instead of flowers they will be carying white staffs that will have purple white and silver ribbons and small bells hanging from it.
