I happen to agree with CRB#33. I have neven understood how people can say God does not exist. If he did not exist than we would not be here. I know "I" was not created in a LAB as some some non believers think. Each and everyday we wake up is a miracle from GOD. I love him with every fiber of my body. He is everything to me and my family. Without him I don't know what I would do

I am not trying to influence you with my beliefs, nor am I talking about any of you. I am speaking in general of all who do not believe. I'm not going to say "YOUR GOING TO HELL BECAUSE YOU DO NOT BELIEVE IN GOD" That is not for me to say nor is it for me to judge you. I will say this, if a person does not believe in God there is no place in Heaven for that person. It also goes for christians who go against God's word.

I hope you are right. I really do. Because the Bible says that God doesn't change & that He is the same always, well, I don't think you are right. But, again, I hope you are. If I thought that God let everyone in because they were good and decent it would contradict so much scripture that I guess I'm the opposite. I wouldn't want anything to do with that type of God. To wishy-washy and not true to His word. However, it would be nice that everyone would be able to go to Heaven.

It's also something I hurt over and pray for a change. I don't want people not to know God. It's a joyous thing!!!!

The problems I have had on these boards are when a person asks for a prayer because they are in pain and that thread takes on a new life as a "sorry, but don't expect God to answer your prayers, he's not real". This only adds to the pain of the person. It's not the place.

There are places for it.

I have no problems with a respectable debate on religion. But not at the expense of someones pain.

Again, if someone feels insulted, then I apologize, but I would imagine if you think it's an insult to be thought that you are going to hell, do you think hell actually exists?

Actually, I LOVE seeing the DIS RIGHTEOUS stand up and be counted . Of course, my DW hopes that JTB is correct in her synopsis: "I believe,most of all, that GOD is merciful ". I'm not sooooooooooooo sure.

Unlike certain unnamed DIS members, I ALWAYS welcome it when people here express their honest views.......even if they are antithetical to my own. I just wish that atheists on the DIS were extended the same courtesy .

I AM worried about this she devil's heels . I'm afraid that she'll have a hard time negotiating all of that fire and brimstone. However, perhaps her tail will provide increased stability ..........

Why must you insist that it isn't an insult? It is fine to believe what you do. But you didn't say "I believe that atheists are wrong about the existence of God, and I worry about their souls". You said something to the effect that they "should be scared because they are facing a fiery eternity". That doesn't sound like concern for anyone....that sounds like "ha ha...just wait until you die and you find out you are wrong and I am right".

I agree with you on this one. I don't think that it is the appropriate time either to say God isn't real. Which is why I don't post on those threads and say things like that. I think the atheists on this board would also like to not be told they are going to hell every time a thread about atheism is started.

I actually agree it's not the palce and it is why I wouldn't actually do it. I do disagree however that what you did on this thread is ANY different. There was no palce for what you posted on this thread IMO and it is why that march is a good idea. Enough with the double standards already.

And if there is a God and there is a hell, it is a fact that a person who doesn't believe in God will end up there. And I think that every athiest knows it. It's a fact, not an insult. If they think it's an insult, then they must have some belief in the place and they should be rethinking their beliefs.

Thanks for the apology, CRB#33. I'm glad for you that your belief in God brings you joy. But it isn't that way with everyone. There are many types of people in this world, and we all need to try and respect each other.
