It is a list that definitely makes you go "HUH?". Lets see, disposabe razors, corkscrews, blunt scissors, knitting needles, crochet hooks, disposable lighters (BUT ONLY TWO, I got nailed on that one, lol) eyelash curler ( a must have for all pax), nail files, ubrellas (one never knows) are all allowed.
BUT, maincure scissors are not. Hmmmm, let us see.
We all know that no harm can come to anyone using a corkscrew, disposable razor, knitting needles, two disposable lighters or an umbrella as a weapon. Right? I don't know about you, but, a corkscrew used the right way can cause a lot of pain and possibly put an eye out.

Knitting needles can defintely cause a problem and anyone with half a brain knows that you can break the plastic off a disposable razor and it becomes a very lethal weapon.
My manicure scissors were deemed a no no, something I don't have a problem with (just a brain fade when packing) and I did not mind mailing them back to myself ( I ran into a REALLY nice TSA agent and they were expensive and I appreciated the chance to mail them back), BUT.....when I came home and read this list I was amazed at what was allowed.
I do appreciate the effort being made to keep us safe, but, this list is absolutely amazing. Corkscrew vs. manicure scissors, wonder which could do the most damage?
Looking at the list of allowables, I get the impression they threw all this stuff into a goldfish bowl and alternated what was allowed and what was not.
