Epcot's 25th Anniversary--what would you like to see?

This may seem silly, but I would like for them to have some souvenirs with the old Epcot logo.

The Tapestry of Dreams parade was cool. I would like to see the original "Food Rocks" from 1984. I thought that was so cool when I was 9 years old. (I guess at 9 everything is cool.) I would say Figment, but they brought him back. The one thing that I do not want to see is "Captain Eo" with Michael Jackson. I never saw it in 1984 and I don't want to see it now.

Something like the Millenium Village.

I loved that!! It was great for meeting people and great to go to cool off. :) Also, I do not remember the details, but there were two CM's that worked there from two different countries that did not get along and they become a couple. In normal circumstances that would not have worked out. Epcot is a great place to expand your horizons!

PS: I should know, I met my Norwegian DH there and am living there now. :)

Great thread! Love the suggestions here. I would like to see:

Return of Tapestry of Nations. It was an incredible parade...and I don't like parades!

Some kind of reworking of IllumiNations.

I wish they would turn the Odyssey into a space station themed restaurant, maybe something like Milliways, the restaurant at the end of the universe.

Since a new country seems a ways off, I also would like to see the Millennium Village brought back in some form...maybe a permanent "Global Village Market" with the countries that can't commit to an entire pavillion.

Bring back original Journey Into Your Imagination with Figment & Dreamfinder.

I can't believe Verizon hasn't jumped on the sponsorship of Spaceship Earth.

Ban Nescafe. Have each country serve its own authentic coffee ground from beans.

Wonders of Life needs to revamp & reopen.

It's already gone. It's being remodeled into something called Club Cool.

But the various Coca-Cola drinks will still be offered. :) I love that place - but "DON'T DRINK THE BEVERLY!!!" :crazy2:

CRANIUM COMMAND !! We love this show. Please Please Please keep it open and update the rest of the pavilion.

I live in Atlanta and there is a Coca-Cola Museum in downtown Atlanta called The World of Coca-Cola. If you are ever in Atlanta, you should visit it. It is a very cool museum. On the third floor, they have a Coca-cola sampling room with sodas from around the world just like Epcot. They have the Beverly, which is a soda from Italy. The big joke is to convince unsuspecting people to try the Beverly. You tell them how delicious it is and how it is the best tasting soda there. People usually try it and they usually cringe when they taste it. A few years ago, my husband's Christmas party was held there and we convinced many of his co-workers to taste it. I know it is mean, but we had the same joke played on us when we first went there. I agree 100% with you -- Don't Drink the Beverly!!

How about a double-decker bus ride and the original Illuminations (scored to the 1812 Overture).

I agree with others, Spaceship Earth needs no tacky decorations, it stands on its own.

Oh and something new, fresh ground coffee wherever coffee is sold.

I will vote with everyone else to bring back the Tapestry of Nations parade.

For me, I would like to see a couple of new countries added. I think that someone's idea earlier to add Russia would be nice or maybe even South Africa. As another country I think that it would be very rewarding to have is a country like Lebanon or Saudi Arabia. There is too much Europe at EPCOT.

For exhibits,
Spaceship Earth needs an upgrade to showcase new telco technology.

The Human Body is still very interesting and the technology is crazy. Nanotechnology, prosthetics, cancer research, new diseases, etc.

Test Track needs to be reckoned with. GM needs to put in a new ride or something needs to be done there. Someone mentioned it before. New auto technology needs to be showcased. From Hydrogen Fuel Cells, Natural Gas, Hybrids, etc.

As far as innoventions goes, I think that they are headed in a pretty good direction right now. Everything is getting to be interactive, virtual reality, etc. This is how technology is showcased. It isn't necessarily a video game. These are showcase tools. The Fire House game is fantastic! They need to showcase a little less of the Disney Video games but the showcase games are great.

So, parade, new countries, and a few updates. That's all.

I don't see why not - they already let Stitch TP the whole darn thing.

Does anyone remember Mickey, and Goofy and the Chipmunks in their Space-Age attire? Whenever they made a "special" appearance in Epcot, they always had their space attire on. There was also a Space age band. I think Epcot really had a futuristic feel to it when it first opened; now with Wonders of Life closed, and Spaceship Earth "denuded", it needs attention. Lots of attention! Just making reservations for dinner had a futuristic feel to it. It was exciting from the minute you walked into the park.

Remember the Jetsons? I'd like to see Disney create a moving walkway--just like the one at the airport. Anyone could hop on or hop off at any time. Wouldn't that be great?

What Epcot needs are more attractions, especially in World Showcase. Disney needs to stop expecting big corps or foreign government to pony up hundreds of millions to build attractions in their parks.

Yes, I agree! And make the entire entrance area pretty, like it used to be, not like a graveyard, with those Leave a Legacy tiles.

A graveyard.
Thank you!
Every time I walked through that area I always thought it reminded me of something but it never came to me until now.
That doesn't make it any better though...

I totally agree! I bought a capuccino in France and had to throw it away... ugh that Nescafe is bad! I would much rather taste the coffee native to each country....

I also hate the Leave a Legacy monoliths and miss the old fountain in front of Spaceship Earth that had the 3 plexiglass forms with the old Epcot logo. I wouldn't mind getting rid of the hand/Epcot sign on SE. It seems to me that they just can't execute the Epcot concept at Innoventions of showcasing the latest technologies... I recently saw that "house of the future" tour thinking that they would show me some new stuff and, frankly, it was almost the same as it was several years ago! I rarely go to Innoventions for that reason; nothing there appeals to me (other than an air conditioned path to the other side as another posted stated).

I just loved the Tapestry of Dreams. What an inspirational parade! I want that to come back. So many of the ideas already posted are wonderful. Regarding the "Grave Yard" entrance to Epcot. Too bad they didn't position them a little different to incorporate a more happier place. :goodvibes

I know this could never happen but...I would love to have "Horizons" brought back! My sister and I would ride that ride over and over again, each time picking a different ending. I can smell the orange groves now!!!
