Epcot's 25th Anniversary--what would you like to see?

I would like to see the old Illuminations where each country was showcased and lit up when they put the image of the country on the globe. I don't know if it had a special name but I liked the old one much better.

Also loved the tapestry parade.

A new country is long overdue.

Me too! I loved this display more than ever...and when we seen it during the xmas season, I believe there was a holographic in the sky with people ice skating...was so totally fantastic.

I would also like another country,,, my vote is Greece, Australia, or Ireland..

and personally speaking. I didn't care for tapestry all that much...

I do remember the monitors and phones for making reservations. That was one of the big things to do as soon as you got in the park. I can't remember the name of the ride. Maybe someone will remember from my description. There was a ride that at the end of it a panel came up to and each rider chose their mode of transportation home. I think it was land, sea, space, ?. It may have been in World of Motion. I know that was a loooong time ago.

I miss the Millenium Pavillion in the back of Canada. It was so nice having all those different countries under one roof. So much to do in one place.

It was called "Horizons" and boy! is it ever missed!!!

I'd love it if they brought back the Tapestry of Nations parade. I always feel nostalgic when I hear the music come on after Illuminations. That is my favorite Disney parade of all time. But not Tapestry of Dreams.........I didn't like it as much and thought it was kind of corny.

I agree that a new country is long overdue as well. IMO they should bring back the Millenium pavilion or put a new country in its place.

Does anyone remember the Millenium desserts that were served at the Epcot restaurants?

I got an amazing millenium dessert at le cellier in 2000. I don't know if anyone else would remember, but it was a mini chocolate model of spaceship earth and it was filled with this butterfinger-esque nougat/ice cream. It was sooooo good, and the best dessert I've had to date. I wish they'd bring that back!

DREAMFINDER and the original Imagination ride/exit area. Pin tables, funny face computers, paint-on-the walls, the Rainbow Tunnel!!! I MISS IT!

Also, I'm with Will on updating the SE exit area. My dad is a telecom prof and was aghast that they haven't done *anything* (I told him to volunteer )

And the WOL pavilion is just sad and lonely. It needs something.

A new country would be nice (I'd like to see Australia, myself), but I also understand that it's a hard sell to the people...why spend money on an American "amusement park" when you can finance, you know, health care or build roads in your own country.

Oh boy - I sure do agree with you. I get sick to my stomach everytime I see that stupid hand and Epcot sign. Cheap and tacky!

I like the idea of a total remake of Innoventions. Video games??? They don't belong there. Epcot is suppose to showcase new technologies and ideas, and those technologies and ideas should WORK. Ever notice when they use to have some cool stuff, it rarely worked?? It's an embarassment, but the idea of Innoventions has a lot of potential. I love the idea that another poster had of showcasing some of the old attractions like Horizons and World of Motion. A defunct ride museum for Epcot. Love it.

I also miss Tapestry of Dreams/Nations..either one. We loved it - the music, the puppets, the whole feel of it was very special. And perfect for the world showcase promenade.

You know the old Odyssey (sp?) restaurant? Couldn't they use that space in some way - perhaps to do something like each week showcase food from one of the countries. Maybe have demonstrations and special things, or is that too much like F&W?

Yes, I agree! And make the entire entrance area pretty, like it used to be, not like a graveyard, with those Leave a Legacy tiles. I think the biggest thing I dislike about that area is the knowledge that they took out a beautiful flower area for it.

Bring back ToN! I really liked that parade, I don't usually stop to watch them. If I had known it was going, I would have watched it a few more times.

Do *something* with WoL Pavillion. I work in heart surgery, and I hated going to the little info/listening station where they talked about it - it was so outdated! There's so much in health care to talk about and teach to the public.

While you're at it, the exit to SE needs to be filled in!

Another country is a GREAT idea, it always is! And I wish Germany had the boat ride down the Rhine like it was supposed to.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Illuminations but I'm not opposed to see it revamped/updated.

I'd like to see them do something with The Odyssee Restaurant. Maybe refurb it and give it a new look. Everytime I walk by it I think to myself "what are they going to do with this?" Sometimes I wonder if their is an EPCOT museum in there, but I believe at last check it is used for Cast Member banquets and other WDW functions.

I would love to see (or do) that parade again. Dreams and Nations were great!! It really allowed a bigger audience other than Disney Lovers to enjoy the parks.
