EPCOT PPO question - Garden Grill to FEA?

Good morning! We're planning a trip for early May and I'm making ADRs now. I could use some advice from the pros

We'd really like to eat breakfast at Garden Grill, but I was also hoping for our EPCOT day to plan to rope-drop and head straight to Frozen Ever After, since fast passes are so hard to snag for it. I was able to get a 8:00 reservation at GG (on a non-EMH day). I know that Soarin is right there next to GG, so the typical GG PPO first stop is Soarin. But if we're finished eating by 8:45, would we be crazy to book it over to WS for FEA? Would we be wasting a chance to walk on to Soarin and end up with a terribly long FEA wait?

I know some might say we should try for Akershus instead, but I'm not really interested in an Akershus breakfast. We're not using the dining plan so Akershus is a more expensive meal, I've heard the food is better at GG (excited to eat food grown right there in The Land!), plus we're planning on meeting the princesses at meet & greets anyway.

So what do you think?

You won't beat the rope droppers from the gate to FEA with a GG ADR, generally speaking.

You'd be better off getting a FP+ for FEA and going straight to Soarin'. Use Single-Rider at TT.

Yeah. You really have to go all the day across to the other side of the main fountain, then back. The front gate RD folk walk straight then left, so you're more likely to merge with that prevailing traffic coming from GG. Wait might be okay regardless, but you won't beat them, and you won't beat the IG rope-droppers.

Another strategy to consider, if there are kids involved, is strategic splitting of the FP+ for TT and FEA and use of rider swap. FEA allows rider swap for some reason.

It's just going to be my 8yo DD and me, so rider swap won't be an option. I'll just try super hard to get the FP+, and if I don't get it, we'll just wait in the line. After we ride Soarin (maybe twice!)
