Epcot passport - what is it?

I've heard a few things here & there about people getting a passport & having people sign as they go around the worlds. I guess I'm just missing the whole story. Could someone please explain this to me? Do you have to buy a book somewhere? How do you know who to ask to sign it? Any other tips or tricks about this?

Epcot sells an Epcot Passport kit (~$10) that includes a book and stickers. You'l want to look for the KidCot station in each country where a CM will stamp that country's page and write something in their native language.

I don't know if you can order them in advance,
but you will have no trouble getting them.
They are sold in every gift shop in Epcot (or nearly every shop).

My DS enjoyed having something special and it
encouraged him to meet and speak with the CM's
at the KidCot stations in each country.
DH and I enjoyed that it was an inexpensive souvenir
that is a nice memory, also .

My kids really liked the passports and also the masks they used to have, not sure if they have those anymore?

Add us to the list of people that recommend the passports! They're fun. My 2.5 year old loved doing this last year (he didn't care about coloring the Perry/Duffy things though). We bought ours at the shop in the international gateway.

I'm thinking we'll bring it back for our trip this year and get it stamped again.

We loved the passport for years. It was the best way to keep our DD engaged at Epcot. While it took a little extra time in each country, it was totally worth it to be able to visit each country. One year on her birthday, we asked the CMs to write Happy Birthday in their native language. That was a real keepsake. It is not an expensive souvenir and is absolutely worth the cost. I have seen others just use their autograph book in the same way, however. The CM will stamp the page of the autograph just as they would the passport.

They also have little wooden "Duffy the Bears" on sticks the kids can color and get stamped/autographed at the KidCot stations in each country. The bears were free. . I saw the passports and they were cute but my daughter like the wooden bear just fine and really enjoyed collecting the stamps/autographs at each country.
