Take the little one to MGM they have an amazing Playhouse Disney Show that she would enjoy as well as The Little Mermaid. Also, there tends to be more Characters at MGM - such as JoJo, etc... :goodvibes

mgm for the kids i would say if has all the shows for them, whereas as epcot is a lot of walking if u go round the countries, then there mission:space which might be a bit rough for them. but they would enjoy talking with crush, soaring, test track.

depends on what your kids enjoy most, shows or rides

rides means goto ecpot (dont have to walk round countries skip that)

shows mgm

and epcot has all that interacted kids stuff they will enjoy

i say EPCOT

If it is about the characters I would do MGM. Lots of shows and character stuff. Epcot is more culture and education type stuff and a couple rides. I will say Epcot is one of my kids favorites. It just depends on what you like though.

MGM - it has so much more for a 6 year old. My 5 year old daughter gets bored at Epcot. She likes it for a little while but she really loses interest walking around the world showcase. Have you considered The Animal Kindgom? My kids love it as much as MGM.

I say just the opposite. When my DD was 6 she liked Epcot way more than MGM. In MGM we did Beauty and the Beast and Little Mermaid, but that's about all she liked. At Epcot her favorite part of the park was World Showcase. She LOVES drawing and art stuff, so the mask kept her busy for hours, and she saw lots of characters such as Belle, Beast, Aurora, Mary Poppins, Snow White, Mulan, Jasmine, Aladdin, Genie, Pooh, Rabbit, Eeyore, Tigger, Smee, Captain Hook, Chip and Dale, Minnie and Mickey and Donald and Daisy. We saw the more characters at Epcot than at any other park.

This year she will be turning 9 during our trip and out of the 7 days, she wants to go to Epcot at least 3 days, and that is fine with me and DH, it's by far our favorite park! Enjoy your trip! :sunny:

I agree. I think there's more kid-friendly stuff at Animal Kingdom that's also interesting for adults at the same time. Most all kids love animals, and they have plenty of characters there too.

The Kidcot stations do make Epcot an underrated children's park too though. I see kids have a great time there.

If you've only got 2 days at Disney, I wouldn't waste it at MGM.

Yeah, Epcot is just fine for kids, but if its all about the characters MGM is definitely your choice. For a character-loving kid Illuminations is no match for Fantasmic.

we have been to animal kindom and everyone hated it it seemed to be more of a glorified zoo with a to high ticket price were really just looking for characters thats what she likes is meetng characters

As you can see, everyone has varying opinions. It's all about personal preference. Check out allears.net or the Disney website and look at all of the attractions each park has to offer. Go with the park that will be the best fit for your family.

Epcot has : Test Track, Soarin, Turtle Talk, Spaceship Earth, Mission Space, Honey I Shrunk the Audience, Imagination, Innoventions, Ellen's Energy Adventure, Living with the Land, Charater Connection, Illuminations and The World Showcase.

MGM: Star Tours, Indiana Jones Stunt Show, Voyage of the Little Mermaid, Playhouse Disney Live, Beauty and The Beast Live, The Great Movie Ride, Lights Motor Action Stunt Show, Honey I Shrunk the Kids Playset, Rock n Roller Coaster, Tower of Terror, Stars in Motorcars Parade, Muppetvision 3-D, Backlot Tour, Animation Couryard, and Fantasmic.

As far as characters go, both parks have opportunity for character interaction, at Epcot there is the Character Connection and other characters in World Showcase. At MGM there are characters at Animation Courtyard, New York Street, and Al's Toy Barn. Also at MGM is the Stars in Motorcars parade Fantasmic, and the live shows where characters can be seen but not approched. No matter what park you chose make sure to check the times on the "Times" schedule to see when and where the characters will be.

Chances are that the kids will prefer 2 days in MK rather than visit a different park. IMHO

Good Luck and Happy touring.

I'd have to say for a child, go to MGM. More kiddy type stuff. Also more Disney characters and shows. Have fun.
