Hello all,
We are heading to Disney for 7 days from 4/21!!!!! We want to visit TL and Blizzard Beach, MK and MGM, maybe a morning at AK.
Would you spend time at Epcot with two kids 11 and 8? If so, what would you see? How about food?

Thanks,
Carmela

my ds loves epcot, figment, test track, mission space. They also know have the thing were you talk to crush at the living seas. he also liked going around the world showcase and doing the face mask. There are two rides, mexico and norway, that he also likes. there are other things to do but these are his must list things at epcot.

Yes, yes, yes!

Test Track
Mission Space (if they're brave....I'm chicken!)
Spaceshipe Earth
ellen Energy Ride
Soarin'
Honey I shrunk the audience 3d movie
Turtle Talk at Living Seas.... a must do!!

Then at the countries, check out what you'd really like to see with the schedule for that week and go for it. We love Mexico, Norway (both have rides), France, China, and the UK.

The countries are a great place to get character photographs and autographs, too. Plus Illuminations at 9pm. It's great!

Can't help too much with the food...we do a lot of counter service. Have ressies at Rose adn Crown this time, though,

Hi Carmela
so many must sees in epcot, do they like aquariums and the whole nemo thing? sorted. Do they like fast cars and speed thrills? sorted. Do they like fun rides in make beleive lands? sorted. Do they enjoy the thrill of outer space? sorted. Computer games? sorted. Conservation issues? also sorted. Too, Too much to go into, really study the info on this site and allears there is SO much at Epcot, we generally spend 2-3 days in this park and I still haven't seen it all
Also has the largest 'range' of food types in WDW with 11 countries plus other counter snacks

Make sure you get the kids a passport for the different countries. Have the cm's sign at each country. My gs loves this and he loves visiting the other countries. :wizard:

Innoventions has lots of fun stuff for kids to do as well. Lots of hands on activities and games and that sort of thing. Also Turtle Talk with Crush is a must see, like other people have already said. The passport and the masks at the Kidcot stations around World Showcase are also a very good idea.

Gotta do icestation zebra (I think that's what it's called) and try the different cola drinks from around the world. It's a small thing to do, but it makes for an interesting experience.

Just make sure you're ready with your camera when they take a drink of one country's "interesting" cola!

My children really enjoy the shows. Each country has shows in front that have something to do with that land. Chinesse acrobats, german bell ringers, mexican aztec dancers....etc.... most of these shows include the kids from the audience in one way or another. It is my two 8 year old daughters favorite park.

Almost any of the sit downs will give you a choice of standard Disney kid food or regional specialties. Our son (almost 10) has never had a problem. The rides noted above and ice station are all good. The single rider line for test track would be a great option. Just have one person in front of the youngest and one person behind, and even though you are in different cars he'll be fine. Spaceship Earth is relaxing. The fireworks are always incredible. The passports and maks become an obsession so slow 'em down to smell the roses.

The music is also great thoughout the park.

We always spend a full day at Epcot and an extra night for the fireworks at Epcot.

You could easily spend a full day at Epcot with Kids that age. going thru the countries and making their mask and getting their passport stamps. then all the rides others have already mentioned. then the illuminations show at closing. have fun! :cool1: :teeth:

My son (now 12) loves EPCOT. We have a great time in Innoventions, Test Track and Mission:Space.

He enjoys Universe of Energy, Imagination and the Living Seas. When he was younger (7,8,9) he would make a mask everytime we went through the world showcase. Norway has a fun ride too. :)

As far as food, Epcot has wonderful places to eat and if your kid is an adventurous eater, its even better. All the places have typical kids menus too.

Be sure to look at the schedule for the extra performances going on around the lagoon too. There are usually performance in UK, France and Japan. They are fun to watch.

Enjoy your trip!
