I just called the MGM kennel to see if they offer the pet walking service like Epcot and was informed no and that Epcot no longer offers that service! I wonder what happened? We were just used the Epcot kennel on November 12. It was a great service. Does anyone have any info on why they stopped it? :confused3

We can hope that the CM was just misinformed. I would hate to have that service taken away as well.

I wasn't even aware that Epcot had a kennel. I've never taken a dog to WDW so I'm at a disadvantage on this topic.

This could be a reflection of the general depression of the local area's available labor pool. There are a lot of lower-end services struggling to attract adequate staffing, from what I've read.

I had planned on using this service for our beagle mix. We are local and looked forward to bringing our dog with us often.

I have just called epcot kennel, and yes, there is no longer a dog walking service available. :(

Oh no! That is bad news! I wonder what happened to make them stop having the service? Everthing was fine when we used it in November.

Can't you walk the dog yourself just before dropping him off or just after picking him up at the end of the day?

I suppose that the kennel could offer walking priced separately from the kennel stay. Is there a suggestion box for this?

That is what everyone does - walk their dogs before you drop off and when you pick them up. They also want you to check on pets/walk them during the day. That is fine with us, but it is was also a very nice service they offered (they charged an extra fee) for them to walk your pet during the day. That came in handy when you were all the way on the other side of Epcot. Being in the kennel is very stressful for some dogs, with all the barking going on and it is nice for them to get out for some quiet one-on-one time during the day.
