Epcot, honestly how many.....

this summer i will be going to disneyworld for my sixth time and have never REALLY took the time to walk back through all of the countries in Epcot. we usually hit the stuff towards the front (i.e test track , imagination, honey i shrunk the audience etc...) thinkin' that it wouldn't be that interesting to walk back through world showcase. for all of you that have, would you recommend it or just say stick to what we're doing now and skip it??

We really love walking through the countries and going into all the shops. Not to mention all the great restaurants. If you havent done Norway, it has a wonderful ride called Maelstrom. Some of our favorite memories are just walking around the Worlds and seeing the little shows.

We spent all most all of our time at World Showcase!!! Basically, we rode Test Track and Spaceship earth and then walked to WS! We enjoyed trying a little snack at each place. I would definitely try it. Also stop to see the shows in each place - There is a Beatles group in UK, a band in Canada, drums in Japan, acrobats in China, etc.

I would definetly recommend taking a closer look at World Showcase. All are very interesting and very unique. The shops are fun to look through and the entertainment is great in every country--make sure you time it right so you can catch a few! Remember that Mexico and Norway have fun rides too!

i have actually gone as far as Norway and been on the ride but have never continued any further. this year i definately wanna hit the american adventure, i watched program about disney on the travel channel and it talked alot about that ride and honestly up until that point i didn't even know it existed. 1-if you've been on it, how is it? and 2-where the heck is it? i have a birnbaum's guide book but american adventure doesn't show up?? thanks again

The American Adventure is a "not to be missed". It's about a half hour. It's different from Hall of Presidents because there are many different scenes. Starts with the pilgrams and all the way up to WWII. Then they do a video montage of events from WWII to the 90's. They need to update that part - the final scene is fireworks over the Statue of Liberty with the WTC in the background.

I love walking around the World Showcase at night. The lights are on, the torches are lit, music playing. That's my favorite place at WDW.

My brother and I took our time in Epcot but this was some years back even before I met my husband (late). We did the Future World and we strolled at the World Showcase. Epcot used to be my favorite park. But this trip coming up (which is btw in 2 days!) I am going to spend my time in Epcot and get to know Epcot again. I would love to check out the World Showcase again.

I think if you have time, to just stop at every each country and see what there is see or do and maybe try their restaurants so you can get a chance to taste food from all over the country.

Epcot's World Showcase is actually my 6 year old's favorite park! She is a thrill ride junkie, but as soon as we've done Rock N Roller Coaster at MGM, she's whining to go back to the resort to swim. When we go to Epcot, she could stay in the World Showcase all day! She loves the Kidcot stations in each country, where the kid's can make a mask, and decorate it at each different country as well as getting it stamped and talking to the CM's from all over the world.

If you don't have kids - the World Showcase is definitely an adult's paradise - so many things to see - foods to try - drinks to enjoy! Disney's attention to detail is phenomenal, and we love all the street entertainment - the living statues, the Chinese acrobats, the musical groups - so many things to see! And the shopping!

Our ideal day at Epcot involves doing the stuff in Future World early in the day, getting a Fast Pass for Test Track for afternoon - heading somewhere nice for lunch - prices are cheaper for lunch! Head back to Test Track for our ride - then stroll out to the further countries out back - counter service snacks or dinner then Illuminations! If you time it right - you can get yummy snacks at the Cantina in Mexico - a few margaritas and a lagoon side table - great viewing for Illuminations!

We'll ride everything in FW but we spend by far much more time in World Showcase. We love it!

World Showcase is my favorite place in the World!! Of course, I love Magic Kingdom. And there's a lot I enjoy at MGM (RocknRoller Coaster, TOT, Muppets, etc), but we spend the vast majority of our time in Epcot because there is just so much to see there.

We do quite a bit in Future World, but almost all our time is spent in World Showcase. And no matter how much time I allow, it's never enough. We always leave wanting to spend more time there.

Maybe you'll go to World Showcase and find that it's not for you. But I definitely recommend taking the time to find out!!

I would definatly recogmend seeing more of World Showcase. There are so much great entertainment back there. The living statues and masquarade in Italy are great, as are the rock groups in UK, Canada, and Morocco and street theater in the UK. I also really like the American Adventure Show and the movie at the France Pavillion. They're both definatly must-sees. Not to mention all of the great restaurants back there. Give it a shot. I'm sure you'll find something you'll like.

Well, my first experience at Epcot was back in 1986. This was a vacation with my Dad and then step-mom. My Dad has rushed through every vacation we ever took together. I love him dearly, but on vacation, the man is a tornado. lol On that vacation we did every country in WS and the vast majority of FW. I remembered very little of it.

Last September we went to WDW. We this time being me and my honey. We focused more on FW. I feel like we barely scratched the surface. We had a great time, but we don't rush through things. Shockingly, I can recall everything we did in detail. We did venture over to WS, but the rain and the blisters on my toes from the adventures at DTD/PI the night before helped us to decide to call it a day early. Unfortunately, the rain also robbed us of the chance to see ToD parade. We would have stayed to see that, but it was not to be.

During our December vacation, we will be definately spending time in WS more than in FW. Now, this is not to say that we won't be there to ride TT, M:S, and SE because those are must do items. But, instead of seeing Innoventions or riding the JiYI, we will be more into seeing the holiday entertainment and regularly scheduled events in the WS. I loved WS the first time we went to Epcot. I really wanted to spend more time there last September, but you never get to do it all at WDW. lol

I highly suggest doing WS. Don't forget to get that little single page schedule of entertainment and events that goes along with the park map. It will help you be able to plan to catch some of the cool things that makes WS so special. Have a great trip! Mickey

The World Showcase is my favorite part of WDW - hardly a visit of mine goes by without walking around the world at least once.

I used to spend most of my Epcot time in Future World but now I enjoy strolling thru the countries in World Showcase. My favorites are Mexico, Norway, Italy and USA. I used to think we wouldn't spend much time in WS with our daughter (age 2 and a half) but boy was I wrong!!! She loved the kidcot stations and we went to more countries with her than we did before she was born!

WS is one of our families favorite spots....Take time to watch the movies, ride the maelstrom, taste some food....they have some great side acts to watch...the statues in france, the World showcase players in UK, the "beatles" band in UK, the off Kilter band in Canada, the gymnasts in China....there are tons of things to keep you busy..

I almost can't believe that some people
have been to WDW so many times, and still have not seen World Showcase.

You have missed so much!

Even if you don't plan on being there very long, it is delightful to just walk in and out of the buildings. They are all special. The gift shops in each country represent merchandise FROM that country, so it is very educational, too.

The rides at Mexico and Norway are great.
The show called The American Adventure, is a TOTALLY Must-see.

Inside the Mexico pavillion is completely georgeous!

My danger is the gift shops. I cannot buy too many things because I have to get them on an airplane. There are so many things I would love to buy. Oh ! If money were no object!

You really need to walk in all the buildings. Don't just look at the outside. I guarentee you...You will be hooked.
