EPCOT is GREAT for kids of all ages. My kids are 11 and 9 and we spend 3 out of 8 days there. :goodvibes They have gone to WDW every year since they were 2 and 4 and have always loved EPCOT.

EPCOT is soooo fun! All of you will enjoy SOARIN, THE SEAS WITH NEMO AND FRIENDS, SPACESHIP EARTH, and INNOVENTIONS. In INNOVENTIONS, you can do interractive activities and games. The only things i dont recommended for you are MISSION SPACE and ELLENS UNIVERSE OF ENGERGY. MISSION SPACE would be too intense and i dont think the youngest would be tall enough to ride. ELLEN would probably be too boring. But it is a good ride for that time you just want to cool off and relax. Definitely take your time to walk around world showcase. There are alot of hands on activities for the kids. In mexico, you can color and make masks, well at least you could when i was there this past summer. There are also a few rides in world showcase. Be sure to catch the MAELSTROM in norway and the boat ride in mexico. There are also so many cute shops and street performances you can catch in the afternoon around 2. I really hope you make EPCOT apart of your plans:cool1:

EPCOT has been my DD's(7) absolute favorite park other than MK since her first trip when she was 2. At age 2, we had only allocated one day there, and found that was not enough time with her. Since then, we spend 2 full days there every trip. DD has never been much of an AK fan.

Both my kids (6 and 11 at the time of our trip) LOVED Epcot. Though they both picked AK as their favorite, Epcot was the only park where we felt short changed with just 1 day. And in fact, we ended up spending 1.5 days there and still wanted more.

There are so many things to see and do even in the countries. Young children can get the Duffy Bear mask and go to each country and have them stamp it etc. Activities to do in each country too. Also search for Charaters. My oldest Granddaughter got a folder of the postcards which included on for each country from the kiosk at the beginning of the world showcase near Canada and they stamped those for her and I think they wrote her name as well. My granddaughters have always loved Epcot. It appears we will be down at WDW at the same time as you.

YES!!!

Definitely go to Epcot. There are so many neat things there for kids.

The seas with nemo, journey into imagination, spaceship earth, inventions, soaring...

Depending on what type of kids they are, they would like test track and possibly mission space. There are two versions of mission space. One is with a lot less movement and is a lot easier.

They would also enjoy seeing the different countries. One thing i liked when i was a kid was going around to the different countries and trying a different snack in a different country (the whole family would share one).

I've read/heard this a few times in the last year and don't get it? Why don't people think that Epcot is for kids? :confused3

My 8 year old's fav rides at WDW include Mission Space and Test Track. Would your 9 year old not like them? :confused3

My kids love Epcot!

Things to do -

Phineas and Ferb (Agent P) game
play area at the end of Mission space (for young kids)
video games at end of Mission Space
see the marine life in The Living Seas
play area by Nemo (younger kids)
Nemo ride
Meet Crush
Figment - my kids LOVED this ride when they were younger!!
Innoventions - when they were young my kids spent hours in here pressing buttons, playing video games, etc
tons of characters to meet
Test Track
Mission Space
maze in England
all the kidcots stations for the younger kids
Donald Duck ride in Mexico
Circle of Life movie
plus all the entertainment around world showcase including jugglers

We always go for 2 days and don't have enough time there. My kids are 6 and 10 and have been to WDW 5 times.

We had to drag DS who was 5.5 at the time out of Innoventions. He is a button pushing kid and he loved a Wall E video game they had. DD who was 10 then loved the piggy bank game. I really wish we could find one of those pigs somewhere. I think that game sparked her love of pigs and her piggy bank collection.

DD is a shopper and loved the different countries. She bought an umbrella in China that she still has. They bought Duffy Bears as we started our circle around the WS and looked for his outfit in each country. I told them they couldn't buy one until they had looked at the one in each country and this gave them something to look forward to as we went around the WS. DS loved getting his picture taken around the World with his Duffy.

My kids alway love Epcot (now 10 & 6) have been going since they were 2. We always go at least 2 days. There's so much to see and do. And it really is a great way to introduce the kids to other countries cultures some. They've gotten to meet people from those countries, taste their food, see their crafts, etc. They love to get candy from the different countries - especially Japan and the Duffy masks that you can make and have stamped in every country are always a hit (they had these before Duffy, but I can't for the life of me remember what it was!).
Definitely go!

At the time of our visit, my children were 9 and 13. Epcot was their favorite park. Mine, too. It has so many things to do for all ages.

Thanks. I think I will add Epcot to our trip. I have heard some people say it's boring. Or kids will be board. And since I have never been before that made me question. Good to know its worth it now.

My boys both loved Epcot from an early age! Soaring was DS7 favorite ride of the whole trip last time. I can't really think if anything they don't like. when each was little, they LOVED the living with the land ride and it's rarely busy so we have made a lot of trips through it. They also enjoyed strolling through WS. There are often performers in the streets that they love to stop and watch and there are a couple boat type rides in WS we make sure we do. Be excited about the park and they will too. We like to hit Epcot on our first night for a few hours but we always have hoppers and do Epcot for 1/2 days several times during our trips.

And these people had been to WDW before because that's such an odd thing to say?. :confused3

We've been several times, and we're in this camp. My kids are 6 and 8 and they don't like Epcot at all. We go at least one day every trip to ride Soarin' and Mission: Space. But it's definitely our least favorite park.

My son was 3 when we went in October and he loved epcot. We only spent 1 1/2 days there and it was not even close to enough time we only got half way around world showcase. When we go next year I'm planning on staying at an epcot resort and spending two full days and then going for a few hours every evening.
