EPCOT Food and Wine Festival, Sept. 25 - Nov 16 2015

Just to clarify...does this include cheese seminars and "What's Cookin' Celebrity Brunch events? Chase members can book on Tuesday? Or have people had success booking now i.e. early for the signature/special events?

None of the low cost demos interested us so I didn't do any booking this past Friday and was planning on booking everything July 30th.

It's suppose to include all special events other that those with extremely limited capacity, including the two you specifically mentioned but they severely limit the # of seats they have available for the Chase early booking. I've personally never had any luck getting anything at all during the Chase Visa early booking window. With how messed up everything on the Disney website is right now with other non F & W related dining & other things in MDE I'm expecting booking for F & W to be a total fiasco this week on par with two years ago when it took days for them to get all the events loaded into the system after booking began.

Dining Plan Question - Has anyone else done the math to see if the QS dining plan is actually useful now that you can trade a QS meal for 3 snack credits? (albeit at the same kiosk)

Brian

The consensus is that this option will not be available at the F&W kiosks. This option, if it even exists, is only available at select locations such as resort QS locations.

Yeah, I remember two years ago. It was horrible.

Oh my. Being in CA I have to get up at 4am for booking and all I want is one duck seminar. I'm beginning to think I should just wait until Thur when I can try the phone & online booking at the same time.

So it sounds like Chase cardholders can't fill up an entire seminar, there is still an allotment for the general public? I don't think I'm cut out for 4am twice this week for a single little seminar!

For the chase booking if u have a card but don't want to pay with ur card, can u still book the deminars?

Apologies in advance if this is off-topic, but it seemed fitting for this thread. I just did a write-up/review of many of the wines that'll be at the event this year, hopefully some find it helpful - http://thedisneywineblog.com/2015/07/21/disney-food-and-wine-festival-wine-rundown/
Thanks for that!! I'm definitely keeping this handy to go over a time or two! EasyWDW usually does a review of a lot of the beers and alcoholic drinks but is usually light on the wine info. This is great!

What is everyone most looking forward to? Do you start at one end or in the middle w/ the booths? We need a mathematician to design an optimal strategy.
My goal is to try EVERYthing. Well all the food, maybe not ALL the drinks! lol. Planning 4, maybe 5 visits to F&W over the course of our trip, in 2-3 hour chunks, and sharing between the 4 of us, so we ought to be able to do it. Hoping to book the sampler package as well. I'm not sure starting on one side and working our way around will work since we'll be coming in through the International Gateway, so I'm planning on getting the passport from the Festival Center to help me keep track.

Ugh. My TA is having fits trying to get stuff done right now so it's definitely showing that they're getting ready to release stuff. So I guess I should plan to be on the phone most of the day tomorrow?

When you put the call into wdw-fest/wdw-dine what do you say to the computer? "Reservations" or "special event reservations" or something else? I don't want to say the wrong thing and loose those precious minutes in a loop of using the wrong terminology with the computer lol.

Another CA here - who the heck picks 7am as a start time?? 9am was marginal for the AP signup but at least I got what I wanted. am twice in a week will be deadly - and if they don't have the events loaded it will be even worse!

Hi fellow CA! I'm gonna go for it tomorrow after all, guess these are the days starbucks venti triple shot drinks are for. Oh wait, even starbucks won't be open yet!

Would you try to call tomorrow for the first Parisian Breakfast or wait until Thursday? I can only be on the phone for a certain amount of time due to work so if there aren't many seats held for Chase Visa I might be better off on Thursday.

I'm annoyed all the mixology seminars we'd be able to make are TBD. Not sure if I should risk it and book and hope it's not an alcohol I'm not too big a fan of (hello whiskey and tequila!).

Any word on French Family Meal Traditions?

Has anyone seen anything about which days the sampler is available for? I'd hate to be on hold forever tomorrow just to be told the only day we can go the Sampler isn't available.

It is my understanding that the Parisian Breakfast will have to be booked online. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Last year I booked several mixology the day of. For a TBD I would just wait.

I don't think this is an event that can be booked online

I was just on the website trying to find out what "select Saturdays" meant. It popped up a survey and I pretty much gave them poor on everything since it's now less then 24 hours before a large segment of their population can book and they cant' tell us WHEN things are happening? Why heads don't roll, I don't know..

(Well actually I do... we pay anyway so there is no incentive for them to change their ways! )

Good idea! We should all answer those surveys! This is getting frustrating - I'm getting up at 3:45 AM and don't have nearly the info I need....

My thoughts exactly. This is the 20th year, supposedly it's a year in the planning but come the day before booking and there's no definitive info on so many events. And it's the same booking chaos every year. But we keep coughing up the cash so why should anyone care?
