EPCOT Flower and Garden Show

We Will Be Going To Disney Durring The Time Of The Epcot Flower And Garden Show. My Dh Nor I Have Ever Been At This Time And Are Wondering What We Have To Look Forward To. Will It Be Crowded? I Have Read A Little About It But Would Enjoy Hearing Some Personal Experiences!

We're going in May, and from what I've read, the Flower and Garden Festival isn't very crowded, but that could well depend on when in April you're going. I've heard that the week before and after Easter are really, really crowded, but things slow down the last week of April through May.

We are goind the week of April 24. So I hope it won't be bad!

We go every year. I've started a thread with Flower & Garden picture of the day, where we've been putting pictures of previous years on there.

It will be nice and warm during that time, expect thunderstorms (for a short time) every afternoon.

On the home page of this Dis, there is a link to schedule of events. There are Flower Power Concerts - usually 3 times a day at the theatre across from America.

Don't miss Minnie's butterfly house and make sure you take a walk on the path where the rose garden is. They usually have something special set up.

I love it. There is also a lady bug release and they have special presentations in the Innoventions building.

It's great to stop and smell and see all the beautiful flowers. Each country has wonderful topiaries.

We go the last week in April every year, which always coincides with the F&G Festival. IMO, there is no more beautiful place than Epcot during this festival.
The entire park is a riot of blooms and color--awesome.

However, it doesn't draw big crowds like the F&W Festival--usually not crowded at all during this time frame.

Is it only in Epcot, or are there displays or events in the other parks?

The F&G is centered at EPCOT. But it is a very pretty time of the year down in FL so you'll see lots of plants in bloom at the other parks

I think I read somewhere, and now I don't know where, a list of activities just for children during the Flower and Garden event. I am gettin ready to go with DS and his family in 2 weeks DGD will be 5 and DGS will be 3. I wanted to re-read the special things they may enjoy.
Anyone know where this info is, or have advice for me?

The Flower and Garden show is breathtaking! It's worth a whole day in Epcot. There are masses of annuals planted on grassy slopes; floating flower pods in the water; lots of topiary; great big areas full of roses.

Check out the gardens in Canada. I think, at any time of the year, this is the most beautiful spot in Epcot and it's really gorgeous during the F&G show.
