Epcot Fireworks Dining questions

We are close to the time to make dining reservations for our December trip. I see that a couple of restaurants at EPCOT have a fireworks dining option. How does that work? Do you stay at your table or is there an outside viewing area at the restaurant?
Anything else I should know about this dining option? Thx!

I’ve never paid extra for the firework party reservations as the EPCOT area is large and open allowing guests to see the fireworks readily outdoors; not so long that the average person can’t stand if they dont find a seat either.
Were I interested in doing a party reservation, Spice Table or Tokyo Dining, would probably get my money even if I passed on the dessert given @ TD since it’s just a pretty “sugah” collection.

Keep in mind this info regards past fireworks; no idea what the new view will look like.

You stay at your table.

Rose & Crown has a lower front row patio outside with about 12 tables they put you at. You stay at your table. The restaurant itself has a teeny tiny viewing area for people inside the restaurant next to where the party is. There are also tables along the rail in the covered porch people request but hard to get. And if weather is iffy they move the party people to those seats. If you get the R&C fireworks package you are pretty much guaranteed good viewing.

Spice Road is new this year but the patio is not. Only the front maybe second row have a view because the patio is covered. The farther you are from the wall the more likely sky viewing is blocked. There is also a small island that could be an issue. I'd say about 6-8 tables are on the rail. There is no standing viewing area. NOW if they have decided to move all those tables so after you eat folks can gather on the wall that would be different. We have to wait until it starts. The inside has some tables at the windows but those will be regular reservations and no guarantee you get one.

Here is info I have posted before with pictures >>> POST #4

Does La Hacienda have viewing options too?

Tables at the windows will have some view, but the odds of getting them are not good. Over the years I've never really read where anyone recommends booking there if you really want a good view. It's also a third party restaurant so they don't do the fireworks packages.
