We are interested in going to the Epcot F&WF this year for the first time. Do we have to pay extra for the concerts as I am interested in seeing Kool and the Gang?
Jockey - The concerts during the Flower and Garden Show (in May) were free and the link on the main page states that all you need is EPCOT admission.
LasMickey - If you go to the main page of this board you will see the announcement of the F&WF on the right side. Click on that link and it will tell you all about it - including the schedule.
Based on the bands that will be performing, we are considering doing a quick trip. Need to make the most of the annual passes.
I was there last year form F&WF. The shows were in the America's Garden theatre. We saw Chubby Checker - I think (my mom and aunt had a blast). The show was pretty good. It was open to all guests.
I always find out the BEST info on these boards!! We'll be there to see Kool and the Gang & Starship! We will definitely try to fit these into our schedule!
I was able to see Sister Sledge, Chic and the Spinners this past F&W fest.
I would love to see Kool and the Gang and the Commodores this upcoming fest but won't be there at that time.
Sometimes the groups they list aren't exactly who you thought they are. I saw the Fifth Dimension last November. No Marilyn McCoo or Billy Davis Jr., the leads from the original group. A couple of the members were original members but the rest were new. I would bet Lionel Ritchie isn't with the Commodores.
Can someone tell me what time(s) the concerts are usually held? Afternoon? Evening? We'll be there for the Commodores, Three Dog Night, Survivor, and Blake Shelton, and I'd like to check it out.
A bunch of BSers (Blake Shelton fan club members) are talking about taking a road trip to see Blake there, that would be the coolest road trip, seeing my fave singer at my fave destination!!!!
OK, can someone please tell me how Blake Shelton fits into the theme of older (70's - 80's) groups? Maybe I'm missing something here...
Mickey Thomas and Starship put on a great show- catch all three sets daily! The lead singers for Three Dog have lost nothing to the years and I am sure anybody lucky enough to be there will enjoy those sets!
I wish Disney could finalize the groups and dates earlier to allow DVC members to pick days of favorite groups.
Yup, he is country music for sure, and if you want to know more about him, go to www.blakeshelton.com and you can learn all you need to know about him. Come visit us on the BSer (Blake Shelton fan) board, everyone is wonderful there!! And if you do, I'm CdnBSerJules on there, so please say hey!!
