Does anyone know when they start the Easter egg hunt in World Showcase each year? We have gone during Easter the last two years but this year we're going a few weeks before Easter.

It started March 1st. We just got back yesterday and did the hunt on our Epcot day. It was the first time we had been there during the hunt and it was great!

It starts when the Flower and Garden festival starts if I'm not mistaken. And I believe the maps are $5.95 or $5.99

Thank you!! That's what I was hoping. We always enjoy doing that so much. We'll be there next week.

Will the egg hunt still be happening in May? Where do you purchase the maps?

We did this on our recent trip. It was fun and gave DS something to do in each country pavilion. We saw the maps for sale at both park entrances, as well as at a few other kiosks. It runs throughout Flower and Garden "as long as supplies last". With tax, I think the map came to $6.20 or so. We saw a lot of other families with maps too.

So you look for eggs in the countries and get some sort of prize? Is that even if you can't complete it?

My daughter will love this.

You look for one egg in each country. You then put a sticker on your map. You can turn your map in for the prize regardless of how many eggs you found/stickers you placed. My DS wasn't quite sure what it was all about at first but after we find that first egg, he was quite excited and couldn't wait to find more! I'm glad we did it.

My kids are 5 and almost 4. Is this something that is age appropriate for them?

We did it last week so it's already going. :)

I hope they are still doing this when we go the week after Easter. DS4 loves to look for Easter Eggs & this would keep him busy while we're in Epcot.

They are doing it for the entire Festival this year.:)

It is fun no matter what the age. Pop will be 85 soon and he enjoys hunting for them! I think of it as another chance to release your inner child. Hope you have a great time!
