Epcot: Drinking around the World!

when we were there in October, there was a stand near the UK that carried some International brands. One of which was Denmark's Tuborg Premium, which is a nice light beer.

Sadly I think this was just there for food and wine, it hung around a little after, but was not there a couple of weeks ago. It did have some good beer! :drinking1

I know Disney likes to save all of these specialty drinks/beers for F&WF, but I think they need to keep up with the variety of drinks/beers throughout the countries.

ITA! :thumbsup2

To the OP...>My DH & I will also be doing a DATW on June 19th.....Mabye we'll stumble into each other.....Literally! ;)

To those of you who like the Ice Wine in Canada. We've fallen in love with it & always have a bottle or 2 in the house. Any "good" liquor store should have it & I find it normally stocked by the German wines. We've had Canadian varieties, as well as one from Idaho (yes.....Idaho) & the Idahoan (?) is pretty darned good too!

I absolutely agree on the 4 layered magaritas! 1 week from tomorrow I'll be having 1 or 2....or 5.

Will see both of you there (or the four of you depending on our condition) :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

I'll look foe the Idaho Ice Wine, never seen it before. Thanks! :thumbsup2

Just tried it, wasn't easy. Wife doesn't like beer, so that limited our options and the yard glasses at Rose & Crown killed me.

We'll try again in October.

Good luck next time Matt!

Any more great suggestions for favorite drinks/ beer, wine, mixed ect.. at Epcot. :thumbsup2

we just got back from a week in WDW and I was disappointed with the beer choices in the world showcase.

Norway didn't even have any Norweigan beers! only budlight and carlsburg!

:confused3

Information I must hide from DH! He is a homebrewer and is incredibly picky and adventurous about his beer selections. Oh well, don't think he can be too disappointed after all, who in the heck could drink anything in the August heat? :lmao:

We did drinking around the world 5 times last Feb!!! Our first night was an EMH at Epcot and the viking coffee in Norway really warms you up if you know what I mean. I love drinking around the world!

Totally could've been us! We were there Feb 3-11 and we hit EPCOT our first night. Sorry if we ran into ya :rotfl2: Actually we were pretty tolerable, I wouldn't want to ruin another family's vacation just cause we like to get our drink on. I'll leave the street performances to Disney.

Not at all :teeth: , we were not put out in the least, if it was your group (and i don't know it was), i just mentioned to my wife "that group is having a good time, must of hit every country" it all looked like a good time to me :cool1:

How expensive is it to drink around the world?

I was considering doing this with my bf when we go in a few weeks, but I'm kind of hesitant to mix drinking with the hot July sun, heat, & humidity.

I'm just thinking it would be best for us to land an outdoor table at the Cantina in Mexico, and just have some drinks there after our dinner and wait on Illuminations. Is this where you can get the famous 4 layer margaritas?

What does everyone suggest?

We have a drinking around the world night planned also... I've been taking notes through this thread... here's what I have so far...

1. Fiesta Margarita - aka. 4 layered margarita - Mexico
2. Iced Wine - Canada, Le Cellier
3. Rosa Regale - Italy
4. Viking Coffee - Norway

What other drinks are there in some of the other countries that aren't beer?... Though beer will work fine for a couple of us, it won't for me... I'm more a mixed drink girl... and only those that you can't really taste the alcohol... Frankly I stink at drinking... :smokin:

Another question I have is about EMH's and drinking around the world... I'm assuming that, since WS is mostly shops and food, everything stays open for EMH's and we should be able to drink right up to midnight... Am I wrong in thinking this?

Can't WAIT to go!!! :woohoo:

not everything stays open for EMH that's for sure. Food places and outside carts close, and they only keep a certain portion open. (instead of 3 carts open in a certain area maybe only 1 will be open).

Its hard to say which would be open or not without direct experience with each location, but CERTAINLY not everything stays open.. in fact only a small-medium portion does

The last time we were there for EMH in April everything in WS was open. :thumbsup2
