Epcot: Drinking around the World!

We were fortunate to live in Europe for almost 8 years, so I am quite familiar with most of the beers and wines at Epcot! And I am soooo looking forward to tasting them again! But, I didn't realize they had the Ice Wine! Where can you find it? Germany? Canada? I want to make sure I add it to my list of "must-do's"!! Thanks for all the great tips! I'll be sure to tell you how we do. I'm afraid my daughter may outlast my brother, so I'm sure there will be many funny stories if that happens!! (And pictures!) :rotfl2:

:wizard: 11 days and counting.... :cheer2: :cheer2:

Sadly, Ringnes is gone from Norway :guilty: Along the lines of "drink responsibly" I would just like to advise that people stick with beer, wine, or liquor, and not mix. Remember, either you have another WDW ahead, or you are probably getting on a plane the next day. In either case, how do you want to feel? ;)

Inniskillin is the brand of Ice Wine out of Canada. It is a desert wine with a sweet taste. Get yourself a sample at Canada in the World Showcase at Epcot. If you like it you can buy it ABC.

I think it is super fun to drink around the world!

Usually we look for drinks we haven't tried yet (which is getting harder with the more trips we take!). We take it slow and like to end up in the Brittish pub where we sing along with the piano man as the grand finale of our day!

Of course we aren't driving and we don't "appear" too intoxicated as we make it through to our resort. A buzz is great fun, but intoxication...not so much.

Enjoy! :drinking1 :woohoo:

merri_weathers- post on Disney Transportation is priceless!
"DESIGNATED DRIVERS!!! Now if we could only remember where we parked our resort!" Thank You Disney!

We always use the Transportation at Disney during the Food and Wine Fest. We may take or drinking a little further than a buzz ever now and then, but are always in control and would never be loud and roudy like others I have seen. There is a point of "When to say when". We're they for enjoyment and a good time. NOT to distroy the vactions of others. That I do not agree with! :sad2:

Sadly, Ringnes is gone from Norway

NOOOOOOOOO!!!!
It's actually been a while since we've had a drink in Norway...I'm usually firmly planted in the Rose and Crown as of late.

Where exactly can you get this? Is there a place to get this other than during F&WF? I always seem to miss it. I'm DYING to try it though.

We are the same way. We may drink quite a bit, but we never drink so much that we would act in a non-Disney way. I've seen and heard quite a few people that are vulgar and crude, and have no regard to the families around them. We always realize that this is not only our vacation but other peoples, and we are just as disinterested in hearing drunken slurs. Those people that cannot control themselves should not be drinking in the World Showcase, or at all for that matter.

Regardless, taking safety into account, it is a fun experience and it allows you to see another side to the WS.

I'm sure you can get it inside Le Cellier at Canada :thumbsup2, but Im not sure if there is a walk up bar or anything like that nearby. :confused3

I know they have it during F&WF, but I didn't know if I could walk into Le Cellier and get a drink. Do they have a bar? Sadly, I've never been inside. :guilty:

Good question! Hopefully someone can help answer that for us! If not when I'm there on 6/19 I'll check and let you know. :thumbsup2

So Ice Wine is a dessert wine? Italy has a pink wine that is a dessert wine that we LOVE. I would love to try the one in Canada, though. Hopefully someone will know if you can order it in Le Cellier - we are having dinner there one night!

AH Yes "Rosa Regale" in Italy a wonderful sparkiling dessert wine! On of our favorites. As for Le Cellier you can order it inside the restaurant, but we are wanting to know if there is a walk up bar inside to order Ice Wine at? So do order it and try it at Le Cellier!

We had such an amazing time, we haven't attempted the whole thing again. We usually get stuck in the UK. My favorite beer is Boddingtons followed closely by Guiness and then Becks Dark in Germany.

Glad you enjoyed the trip report, it was fun to do.

And I'm excited to try the ice wine on our next visit, I've heard amazing things but haven't tried it!

When we went in Feb '06 Germany didn't carry beck anymore...go figure :confused3

we just got back from a week in WDW and I was disappointed with the beer choices in the world showcase.

Norway didn't even have any Norweigan beers! only budlight and carlsburg!

:confused3

Wish they had them, I'd add them to our list of things to try.

4 Layered! I'll bet that's as good as it sounds! Do you get that right out side Mexico?

Yep, there's a little margarita stand just outside of the Mexico pavilion. The 4-layered margarita is called the Fiesta margarita and it is HIGHLY recommended. VERY good stuff!
