Entering Epcot at the World Showcase

We are having breakfast at Chef Mickey's and then want to go to Epcot just to walk around the World Showcase for a couple of hours. I know that ferry's can enter via the International Gateway but is there another entrance or a walkway from somewhere that we can use to bypass having to go through the Future World Crowds?

I'm not aware of any way other than going to an Epcot resort to enter through the IG. From Chef Mickey's you could walk to the MK, and then take a bus to an Epcot resort. Or you could take a bus from the CR to DHS and then catch the boat to Epcot. Other than that I don't know of a way to go straight to the International Gateway.

There is a walkway from the epcot resorts to the international gateway entrance. You can walk to the MK, take a bus to one of the Epcot Resorts [Beach Club, Yacht Club, Boardwalk, Swan & Dolphin]. Or you can take a bus from the CR to the Studios, than take a boat to Epcot WS.

Or you can walk* to the MK from the CR take a bus to an Epcot resort than take a boat from that resort to Epcot.

Personally I would just take the Monorail to TTC and then transfer to the monorail to Epcot. . .Getting to World Showcase from the main entrance is not a pain in the neck and its so much easier to monorail from CR.

You can either take the resort bus from The Contemporary to Epcot and then enter through the usual front gate of the park. Or you can take the monorail from The Contemporary to the Transportation and Ticket Center and get on the Epcot monorail. You would then also enter Epcot through the front main entrance.

At the World Showcase there is an entrance/exit called the International Gateway. It provides access to and from Epcot for the Epcot Resorts..Yacht and Beach Club, Boardwalk Inn and Villas and The Swan and Dolphin resorts. If you wanted to spend some time at The Boardwalk that would be the way to get there from Epcot!

I agree with this, it’s not bad at all to walk through Future World to get to the World Showcase. It will be much more of a hassle for you to get to the IG from the Contemporary than it would be to monorail to EPCOT and walk through Future World.

You could take the bus from CR to DHS and then take the Friendship ferry to the International Gateway. You can also walk from DHS to the IG.

In my honest opinion, it is 100% easier to take the resort monorail from the Contemporary to the TTC because they are right next to each other. From the TTC, hop onto the Epcot monorail and wahla you're there. It will save you time.

If you did it the way I posted before than you'd probably be looking at more than 30 minutes travel time .

It's just a suggestion.

Also..what time are you having breakfast at Chef Mickey's? The World Showcase doesn't open until 11 am!
