End of Nov?

I am just starting to plant the idea of a second trip to WDW in my husband's head I was thinking of shooting for the week after Thanksgiving or the first week of Dec. How are the crowds this time of year? Is it really christmasy festive in the parks? Any major events going on in that time frame that I should know about?

Candlelight procession will be going on. We go every year at this time. Due to Disney offering free dining for these dates, the crowds might be slightly higher, but not bad as this is an off peak time until Christmas.

When do they announce the free dining? If we were to book our vacation package online including the dining and they came out with that offer would we still be able to take advantage of it or would we be out of luck?

here are the free dining dates for late nov and early dec. Yes you should be able to get free dining by booking online, there is a time limitation so check this on the disney site. They offer the quickservice dining free but for a few extra dollars you can upgrade to regular dining.

Be sure to get advanced dining reservations.

We will be there in 67 days for our first Christmas trip and we are so excited! Hoping that time will be awesome!

I have been to DL in the past and I hate to be partial, but I feel nothing can compare to WDW orlando. Christmas is so beautiful there. The Osborne Lights, the candlelight processional. We are making our 8th trip in Nov and can't wait.

We've gone every year for the last 4 years the first or second week in December, last year we did a land and sea (too short of a cruise for me!) and went back to the park on the 20th after we got off the ship, and there was a definite difference in park crowds. We usually love going at that time, they have the MVMCP and the Osbourne lights and all of the parks are decorated for the holidays. It's very festive, but without the big crowds of the actual holiday! Highly recommended!
