Day 9 – Part 2

After we left the Mickey Along with Mickey show, we headed over to Tomorrowland to wait for Buzz to come out! The girls were a little hungry again so they shared a banana.

Pretty soon, the Photo pass guy for Buzz came out and said he would be out in a few minutes. The girls had fun talking to him until it McKenna saw Buzz coming!

We let McKenna have a moment alone with Buzz before we told Aryanna she could go up. If you know McKenna, you know that she is just in LOVE with Buzz! I don’t think she did much other than just stare at him though!

Then Aryanna went over and we got a picture of all of them.

Then it was time to let the other little boy in line (really, it was just us and another family) have his turn with Buzz. Before we left, Buzz reached down and grabbed McKenna’s hand and kissed it. She was in heaven! She turned around and came running “Mommy, Buzz kissed my hand! He kissed my hand!”

Up next was the Monsters Inc show. Aryanna really liked it last year so we were hoping they would both enjoy it this time. We stood in line for about 10 minutes and right before they opened the doors to go sit down, Aryanna announced that she needed to go potty! Of course she did, she has amazing timing for these things! DH left the line with her, while I waited with McKenna, hoping they would make it back in time. Of course, they didn’t, but they made it back in time for the next showing and McKenna had a blast playing in the holding room by herself, looking at the stuff on the walls, and watching the intro movie again.

From there, we were headed over to see if we could meet Woody & Jessie! They were one of the few characters in MK that we had yet to see and we couldn’t possibly miss them!

Finally, we got over to where Woody & Jessie were. The line was LONG and it was HOT!!!! We weren’t sure we were going to wait, when the handler announced that they were going to check on Bullseye, but would be right back. At least ½ the people in line decided they weren’t going to wait so we decided we would wait and ended up being about 4 families from the front of the line when they came back out!

The girls just ran right up to them!

Here is when McKenna’s other “most-memorable” moment of the trip happened. Aryanna was talking to Jessie and McKenna was trying to talk to Woody, but he didn’t see her.

Woody turned to walk over to Aryanna and he stepped right on top on McKenna and knocked her down!!! She ran crying to DH that “Woody stepped on my toes and knocked me over” and she wanted nothing more to do with them.

Jessie was so good though and was talking to her and trying to get her to come back over to see them. Finally she decided that Woody didn’t mean to knock her over and she went back over to them.

She & Woody made up and were friends again! Then we got a picture of all 4 of them so we could let the other kids have their turns.

From here we decided to head over and see Jasmine & Aladdin. But as we did all day, we had HORRIBLE timing! Jasmine & Aladdin were just getting ready to leave to “check on Abu.” We decided that it was a good time for a break in the shade so we found a bench and had a Dole Whip float to cool down and had a nice rest for about an hour until it was time for them to come back out.

We waited in the little store in Agrabah until the line was opened. The photopass photographer came out and told us that Aladdin would be out shortly, but Jasmine would not be joining him this time. We weren’t sure the girls would want to stay just for Aladdin, but they did. I am sooo glad because he was the BEST character we encountered over our whole trip! The photographer was playing a game with the girls, tell thing to knock really hard on the door to see if Aladdin would hurry up and come out.

While they were knocking, Aladdin came out a different door, snuck up behind them, and started knocking with them.

He got down on their level and started asking them why they were knocking on the door and who’s door it was.

Then the girls started telling him about the spitting camel and the magic carpet ride.

He was just sooo good with them! There were no other kids in line so we just let them talk to him until someone else showed up. They were having so much fun and he was asking them all about their trip and telling them what beautiful princesses they were. Another little boy came over, so we got our group picture and said good-bye to our most favorite Aladdin ever!

We decided it was time to head over to Epcot now because we had a dinner ADR and the girls wanted to go back to Innoventions.

On our way to the monorail, the girls saw another character that we hadn’t met yet, Pinocchio!!! His line was really short, so we hopped in it!

Aryanna fell asleep on the monorail ride, so McKenna stopped to see Daisy by herself. Last year, McKenna was asleep with they saw Daisy!

We headed to Innoventions for McKenna to play while Aryanna napped. When Aryanna woke up, we headed over to the World Showcase to see if the girls could meet Jasmine. The line was really long, so I went and had my pearls from earlier in the trip set into a necklace while DH stayed with them in line. They were still in line when I was done, but it was almost their turn.

We still had alittle while before our ADR so we took another ride on Nemo and watched Turtle Talk again! McKenna really started to enjoy it by the end of our trip.

We decided to see if we could check in early at Le Cellier for our dinner ADR. We got a seat inside to wait and the girls had fun talking to one of the hostesses. And they collected Mickey stickers from almost every CM that passed by!

We had a good dinner, but it wasn’t as good as we remembered from the year before. Could have been because we ordered different meals, it was good, just not great!

After dinner, we headed back over to Pop. I don’t remember what we did. We either went swimming or just hung out in the room. I know that there were a lot of thunderstorms at night during our stay that closed the pools down, but I cant remember which days! I think I might have done some laundry that night though.

Yay! Buzz did come out! I bet McKenna was loving that!

Wow! You had some awesome character time! Well, maybe minus Woody knocking McKenna down! That was soooo sweet with Aladdin! I can see why it was your favorite character. He was incredible with them. I love how he started knocking on the door with them. Soo cute!!

Day 10

Our plan this day, was to get to DHS for rope drop, go back to Pop after lunch for naps, then back to DHS in the evening for Fantasmic.

We woke up around 7 and were at the bus stop by 8:15. We got to DHS in plenty of time for rope drop and there was already a ton of people there!
DH made the FP run for TSMM while the girls and I waited for him at The Great Movie Ride. We hadn’t ridden this before, so we had no idea what to expect. The girls were terrified of all the shooting and in the Aliens scene. DH & I liked the ride, but decided we wouldn’t be riding it again unless there was someone to watch the girls while we rode it.

From there, we headed to meet Lightning McQueen & Mater. We stopped for smoothies at a little store right before we got there. They were pretty yummy! When we got to the Cars set up, there was no line yet, so we spent a lot of time there.

After meeting the characters, we walked around the Streets of America looking in all the little shops. Aryanna loved the shop with all the Christmas ornaments in it, but we didn’t end up buying anything there.

By then it was time for our TSMM FP ride, so we headed over there. There were still FP available so we grabbed another set and hopped in the FP line. The girls always guess which character will be on our car, this time we got Hamm!

After our ride, we saw the “Hut, Huts” out (that’s what McKenna has always called the Green Army guys…because when you push play on the Toy Story 2 menu, they say Hut, Hut, Hut). We got a picture & autograph from one of the 3 that were out.

From there, we headed over to meet Mike & Sulley from Monsters, Inc. They weren’t out yet, but the Photopass photographer said they would be out soon, so we waited. There was no one in front of us so the girls had fun playing by Boo’s door.

Then they came out! I love this picture because you can barely see the girls in it because of how fluffy Sulley is!

By this time, the girls were really getting hungry. It was around 11:00-11:30am and our ADR wasn’t until 12:45pm! We decided that we would head over to Sci-Fi to see if we could get seated early, if not we’d find a small snack for them to hold them over. It was no problem and we were seated right away. (There was another family trying to get seated early and their ADR wasn’t until 6:30pm and there were seated right away as well!!!) The girls loved the big movie screen and eating in the cars! DH & I loved the cars because we could sit the girls in the inside and they couldn’t get out! We thought the food was pretty good, for what the menu consisted of. I got a cheeseburger and I think DH got ribs, and I think the girls ordered pizza.

After lunch, we promised the girls that we would take them to the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground. They had a lot of fun, but Aryanna gave DH and I a huge scare! She went in a tunnel and when she came out, she couldn’t find us. We had no idea where the tunnel came out, so I sent DH to look for her, while I waited by where she went in. It seemed like forever, but it was only about 3-4 minutes before I spotted her! She had found another little girl, probably about 10-11 years old and she helped her find us! After DH came back, Aryanna took DH & McKenna in the tunnel that she got lost in so they could see where it came out.

From here, we headed over to the Lights! Motors! Action! Stunt show. I stopped for drinks while DH & the girls headed over to get in line. We met back up as they were letting everyone in for the show.

We liked the show, but we didn’t have a very good view. There was a big pole right in my line of vision.

The show was good, the girls loved all the cars racing around and the fire!
After the show, we headed out to find a spot for the parade. We got another set of drinks and made a couple of bathroom runs before it was time for the parade. We had great seats in front of one of American Idol, which is where they stop.

We sat here last year and it was the perfect spot! By the time the parade made it to us, it had started to drizzle and they didn’t stop! The parade just went right past us. The girls were so sad!

We decided that it was time to leave now. The girls were getting pretty grumpy so it was time for a nap! We headed our TSMM FPs to a group that was coming in as we were leaving because we didnt think we'd be back for Fantasmic since it looked like rain.

After we all had naps, it was still looking like rain out so we headed over to the Pop food court for dinner.

The rain clouds were headed away by the time we were done eating, so we headed back to the room to change into our bathing suits and headed to the flower pool. We stopped at the Goofy Pop Up play spot first.

Then we headed over to the kiddie pool.

After about 30 minutes, the rain clouds came back and the pool was closed because of lightning so we headed back to the room and got showers. Then we watched a little tv and headed to bed.

That was one of our best days and mostly all we did was see characters! The girls absolutely loved seeing them all! Even with Woody knocking McKenna over, it was a great time!

It was a fun day! Writing this TR is making me really want to go back to WDW! I know its not going to happen for a few years though. We're AP holders at DL though so I am trying to get my fill there. Its just not the same though!

So, great that was an awesome Aladdin! I've still yet to meet him! I need to get on it! Only Jasmine up to this point.

I just found your TR and I just wanted to say that your girls are so beautiful. It looks like you had such a good time. It remind me of when I was younger and we used to go for longer trips too. I also love that your girls had matching outfits every day.

Thanks for the compliments on my girls! A lot of people comment on how they love that I dress the girls alike, its something that I never thought I would do. I always figured I would coordinate them, but not matchy-matchy, except for special occasions. Well, Aryanna absolutely loves matching her sister so I started matching them more and more. Now they both ask for matching clothes when I am getting them dressed! I love that they love it! I'd say they match about 3-4 days a week now!

We really did have a wonderful time on our trip. We are so blessed that we have been able to work it out to have 2 long trips. I just love being at WDW and even after 12 days, I was not ready to leave!

I am working on uploading the rest of my pictures for this TR now. I'm going to try to finish it up before Christmas. I only have 3 days left anyways. The next update will be our meet up day!!! I hope you have more pics than I do!

Okay...I lied! I didnt even start on our day today! I got too busy packing for our weekend. But the pictures are uploaded and that's half the work. If I can finish getting the house cleaned up I'll do it tonight still. But, it depends on what time we decide we are leaving tomorrow.

Day 11

Today our plan was to meet up with Jessica (jc040404) and her boys at Epcot! Jessica & I have known each other for as long as I can remember. We lived in a very small town and she lived right now the street from me and her cousins lived right behind us. We met up very briefly (and VERY coincidently) last year because our plans for our meet up fell through. Today, we were to meet up at Epcot in time for rope drop.

We woke up at 6:45am and got the girls up around 7:30am. We had them ready and out the door by 8:00am and were at the bus stop by 8:10am. Here, we waited and waited and waited some more! Again, on a day we HAD to be at Epcot on time, the buses were nowhere in sight! A bus finally showed up around 8:45am and we were finally on our way to Epcot!

We got up to the security line right at 9am and I was looking out for Jessica, but didn’t see her! I had a feeling that things were going to turn out like last year. We went through bag check and made it through the turnstiles pretty fast. We waited right inside the turnstiles at the benches watching for any sign of Jessica or the boys. I thought maybe she was running late or something.

We waited in that area for about 5-10 minutes and never saw her so I sent Quentin up to walk around looking for her. While he was looking, I thought I had spotted her so I told Quentin to come with me and we walked up closer to the “golf ball.” It was them! YAY! As it turns out, they had to make a bathroom run! I am so glad that we didn’t miss them!

Our first ride was Nemo (I believe). Andrew was our little tour guide and showed us the way there. I don’t really remember much, so hopefully Jessica does. I am pretty sure that Aryanna insisted on riding with the boys on Nemo. After that, we hung around playing the little quiz outside of Turtle Talk while we waited for it to start.

Aryanna, Andrew, and Blake all sat very well and enjoyed the show. McKenna on the other hand, kept getting up and going back and forth between our seats on the benches and sitting with the “big kids.” I believe Aryanna was picked to ask a question again (like I said, things are running together from our days so hopefully Jessica remembers) and I think she asked how old Crush was. Afterwards, she told me that she meant to ask how old Squirt was.

From Turtle Talk, I think we hung out for a bit inside watching the sea lions (?) while we took turns taking our respective children to the bathroom! Then we decided that we would head over to Figment! We had yet to make it to this ride, so it was exciting for the girls.

Once we got in line (no line really), Jessica & her boys were in the front and DH & I were in the 2nd row with the girls. I know Aryanna insisted on sitting with the boys again, but I cant remember if McKenna did or not. The girls both enjoyed the ride.

Their favorite part was playing in the little areas after the ride though.

Its no wonder Jessica kept getting the girls confused (so did I at points)!


From Figment, we decided that we would head over to the World Showcase because it was just getting ready to open and there was 1 autograph that we still needed from Epcot! MULAN! We had to wait for a little bit because we got there a little early, but at least we didn’t have to wait in a long line!!

Finally! We had all of the autographs from Epcot!!!

After we saw Mulan, we decided we’d do another first……Maelstrom! Jessica’s boys had never ridden it either (Jessica said she thought she rode it with John before, but couldn’t remember it). It was a hit with all the kids, I think. I know my girls loved it! They love any ride with water though!
We hung out for a bit in the store afterwards while the kids played with the Viking hats, but I didn’t have my camera at the time.

Then, we decided it was time for lunch. We didn’t really have any idea where to eat so I think Andrew or maybe Jessica suggested Electric Umbrella. We knew that our time together would be coming to an end after lunch so Jessica could miss rush hour traffic. We had a good lunch. I think DH & I shared chicken nuggets with the girls? Maybe one of us got a cheeseburger? But it was good, the normal WDW food! The girls had a lot of fun sitting in the window sharing grapes with Andrew!

After everyone finished eating, we headed outside for our good-byes. This is where something surprising happened…..Blake let me hold him!! He had been so shy around us this day but he came to me right before we left! I was so excited and told Jessica that I was going to take him home with me! I just love those little guys! Andrew found some leaves and gave them to Aryanna for the dinosaurs back at Pop.

We were getting ready to head back to Pop when Jessica & the boys left, because we knew we needed to get some packing done since we were leaving soon. Ary held on to the leaves on the way back, but lost them somewhere between the bus stop and our room.

When we got back, we all laid down and took a nap. When we woke up, we headed down to Downtown Disney to buy our tickets for MNSSHP for the next night! We just made a quick trip for the tickets and came back because we had planned to go back down the next morning for breakfast and a little shopping.

When we got back to Pop after getting our tickets, we headed back to the room to get ready to go swimming. While we were getting ready, the girls decided they were hungry again so we went back to the food court to get dinner before going swimming. After dinner, we headed to the computer pool for a swim. I stayed for about 30 minutes before I headed back to the room to do some packing while DH stayed with the girls in the pool because they were “not done swimming!”

It was about 9pm by the time we got the girls in bed that night. We didn’t have any plans for the early morning, so we didn’t set any alarms to wake us up.

Next, would we sleep in????
