Emerald Isle update Anyone?>>>

Has anyone been lately? What has the selection of cars available been?

We go in 2 weeks and was wondering what cars/vans/trucks that have been on the Isle for choosing lately.

We picked up a car at MCO on March 20 and the aisle was filled with Mitsubishis--can't remember the model name. Then there were 2 Chevrolet Malibus, one of which we took. I double-checked to see if it was a full size and was told it was ( I reserved full size )

Interestingly enough, the trunk held more than my DH's Cadillac--golf bag, 2 very large suitcases and assorted other luggage.

We were happy with it. Other times we have been able to get SUVs which we prefer to drive because we are sitting up high, but there were none to be seen on the aisle this time. They were all on their own aisle.

I'm sure this was because it was during Spring Break that this was the case, hopefully, in 2 weeks things will slow a bit and there will be a greater selection on the aisle.

If there are mitsubishis, the Galant is a full size. The trunk should be large enough

If you aren't sure if your stuff will fit in any given car, it's ok to open the doors & trunk & take a look before you drive away. If it isn't big enough, take a different model car. Some cars are considered full size but have smaller trunks & bigger back seats while some are the other way around. You can take the time to find one that fits your needs.

Of course, if you see a big SUV on the aisle, RUN & go get it

When we arrived the were Gallant, a few intermediates, and a Daewoo(?). There were only about 6 cars but it was Easter week. There were no minis, SUV's or larger cars that I would consider FULL SIZE. We actually took the Daewoo. It had leather and a large trunk. We couldn't fir our two large suitcases in the trunk of the Gallant(they are BIG). There was just the two of us so there was plenty of room. I always shop when there so I bring extra luggage.

Debster - We were just picking up a EA car on Tues. afternoon, 4/9. Not a big selection. Alot of Mitsubishi's, 3 were convertibles, many other cars that looked like mid-size, probably considered full size! No vans or Suv's. We took a convertible which worked great for us this time since there were only two of us, but with the kids it would have been impossible! I looked at the aisle on Sat. around noon, and the selection was even less. Maybe one convertible and 6 other middish looking cars. Good luck!
