Emerald Aisle and car seats?

This is our first time booking a car with our National Emerald Aisle membership through Disney Club. As I understand it, we are to go to the Emerald Aisle and "pick out" our car (mini-van). We have a 4 year old that needs a car seat. Will there be vans there with car seats in them, or will we have to go somewhere else to pick up the car seat? I was hoping to rent one rather than dragging ours along with us.

... so it has to be on your paperwork to get them. The usual makes of large vehicle that National has are Chevys; I don't think those have integrated childseats, but you can check.
(Dollar usually has Chrysler products, which do often have them.) Personally, I prefer to use my own seat. Also, beware of full-sized cars that have seatbelt anchors that come straight up from out of the upholstered section of the rear seat; it is VERY difficult to secure a carseat with that kind of belt. Last time we used the Aisle late on a Friday, that kind of car was all that was left, it was a problem.

Also, don't bet on getting a minivan on the Aisle. If you MUST have a minivan, use Emerald Choice instead.

Also, If you have reserved a minivan, what you have is emerald choice, which means you have to go directly to the minivan aisle to pick out your van(The last few times I've used Emerals Aisle, I haven't seen anything but full-size vehicles). One won't be waiting on the emerald aisle. I always bring my carseat for my 4 year old. It's very convient and saves time and I like it better. I bought a car seat cover for it at Babies R Us, and it was inexpensive. I know where the seat has been, and I know it's clean. I just check it with all the other luggage, so I'm not really lugging it.

Thanks for the info. I assumed I could get a minivan at the Emerald Aisle. We have 4 adults and 2 kids, we need something larger than a full size car. I will consider taking our own carseat.

What is Emerald Choice? I couldn't find anything on the National web site.

AT MCO when you book any other type of car other tha,intermediate or full size, as an Emeral Club card holder you get Emerald Choice. When you book your car, the type of service will change from Emerald Aisle to Emerald Choice. This service is only available at a few airport locations as a service to their Emerald Club members. You just have to go the aisle of car you booked, in your case a minivan, hop in the car and leave just as if you were in the Emerald Aisle. It's very convienent!!!

I believe if you are renting a car seat, regardless of your choice of vehicles or if you are an EC member or not, you have to go to the counter.
Try a "practice" ressie and see what happens.
