Embellishments on LOs in Albums

Just wondering ... if you use raised embellishments on pages in your scrapbooks what can you use to protect the facing page? I hope that makes sense. I used some small circular jewels on a Toy Story page and when I was looking through the book recently I could see where the jewels were making indentations on the facing page. Do you just skip using them in books or is there something to put between the pages to protect it?

I hadn't used a lot of them in my books...so I'd have to check to see if they are issues...maybe you could use a piece of felt between the pages to protect it...

Thank you so much! I hadn't thought of felt. Really appreciate your reply.

Absolutely no problem.. glad you brought it up.. I wouldn't have thought about it possibly being an issue...

If you store the books upright there will be less indentation than if you store them flat. With any album you buy there should be some extra carboard spacers. You can use those between pages that have 3D embellishments to give them a little extra room. :goodvibes

I'd say - stand the albums up rather than stack them.

Use lots of spacers - which also helps keep the covers parallel instead of like this < .

Don't cram the albums in on the shelf.

Art foam would also work as padding, if it's still necessary.

Also when planning layouts try to make sure anything bulky/sharp is opposite "blank" space rather than photos:thumbsup2

These are great ideas. I was wondering the same thing about using flowers on layouts and preventing crushing the flowers. Thanks for all the tips.
