Not the singer, the hedgehog. We have a 6mos old hedgie as a pet. I have a small opening in the top of the cage which lets in air. The cage is a large rubbermaid container and the hedgie is like a fat ball a bit bigger then your fist. The container is up on top of an old antique trunk. Hedgie has several times somehow managed to climb out of this cage, get off of the top and off of the trunk, together like 3 feet high and safely escape. He then has access to the whole house and we have to dismantle everything to find him. I will try to post his picture this weekend. My hubby is going to make him a wheel so he can get some exercise without escaping. The kids have him out most every night.

I can't wait to see the photo. What a stinker he must be.

How in the world do you find him???

But if you sit very still at night, around 3am he will start scratching. Then he might run down the hallway or something and you can hear the click clack of his little feet. But I am going to tape a piece of screening over the opening tomorow to stop this craziness. He is so funny. I believe he just needs to burn up some energy so if I hear him scratching around and trying to climb out I have the kids let him out. Even then he usually gets away into some corner behind the couch or something, but at least we know he is in only one room. I am also hoping that when we make the wheel this will help some too. I am really happy with this pet.
