if I purchase electronic gift card can I transfer to a "hard card" via the website? If I can and something happens will it then go back onto the physical card or the electronic number?

As long as you register the hard physical card on the Disney gift card site you may add/combine cards and move the balance from digital cards to ones you have on hand. You may not exceed a balance of $1,000 on any single card.

Any refunds would go to the method used at the time of payment, so if you had combined the e-card to a physical card the refund amount would go back to the physical card.

You can also store an e-card in your Apple Wallet and add funds to it the same way (transferring on the gift card website). That way, you can use your phone or an Apple Watch to "tap to pay" and it will deduct the funds from your gift card. The only bummer is that the balance does not update so it will only show the original balance of the card that you load. You would have to check the website or your receipts to see the current balance.

Ditto!! Many in my family use GC’s (both physical & e-cards), and Disney really needs to add that functionality!

My work just gave out $200.00 in gifts card. So I choose Disney for mine. I did not realize it was a digital one. I normally go to target and by the Disney gift card. Then go to the front desk to pay down/off my charges. How would i use digital card then? I do not want to transfer . And i do not have an apple watch.

You should be able to print out the GC with a bar code on it. The CM just scans the bar code.

Can the gift card in my Apple wallet be scanned everywhere at Disney? Like for the Flower & Garden kiosks for example.
