Hello

We will be taking my partners mobility scooter with us along with an adaptor to plug it in and recharge it.

It just occured to me that some items we have used with an adaptor in the past, for example my travel hairdryer and kettle, have switches that you change from 240v to 110v, but the scooter has no such switch.

Can anyone re-assure me that we will be able to recharge the batteries by plugging into the mains with an adaptor?

Best bet is to check the plug and see what voltages it can take if it says something like 110v - 230v it will be fine.

You will need to check the voltage range on your charger - if it has a input voltage range that includes 110VAC then you should be OK. You will need a UK to US adapter though :)

Alternatively, there are companies in Flrida where you can rent motobility scooters for the duration of your holiday - they will deliver to your resort, hotel of villa.
