Do they still have this? I saw it many, many years ago (and again at the GF I believe)?

I just looked at the official Parades and Fireworks list and didn't see it listed for January so wondering if it will be showing on January 16th, the time and where to view it.

Thanks for any help!

This happens every night unless its too windy.
Polynesian Resort -- 9 p.m.
Grand Floridian -- 9:15 p.m.
Wilderness Lodge -- 9:35 p.m.
Fort Wilderness -- 9:45 p.m.
Contemporary Resort -- 10:05 p.m.
Magic Kingdom -- 10:20 p.m. (only during extended MK park
hours)

It is called the Electrical Water Pageant. When we were there after Thanksgiving, we were taking a boat from the GF to MK (via the Poly). We stopped twice due to the Pageant. Our captain was nice enough to pull us up very close for a front row seat.

Thanks for the correction!

Thank you so much for that information. We're staying that the POFQ and I would like to see it on our first night. Should I drive to the other hotel or take the Disney bus? I'm thinking I should drive. How much time should I allow to get there and to the actual viewing site. I'm assuming that we should go outside to the beach area (of the Polynesian or possibly GF if that's more convenient)? Do they serve beverages during that time? Oh, and what time should we get there to get a decent viewing place? (Not sure if this gets crowded or not.....)

We ACCIDENTLY saw this while staying at the Wilderness Lodge and I thought it was so delightful!!!! I can't believe we missed it for so many years!

You can't take a bus from one resort directly to another, so driving would be a lot faster. Otherwise, you could (I think) catch a bus from your resort labeled Magic Kingdom. This would drop you at the TTC where you could catch the monorail to your choice of resorts.

At the Wilderness Lodge we just sat on chairs on the beach to view it. There were not more than 20 people there on a weeknight in late September, and a quarter of those ran over from the pool area when they heard the music. I don't know the pool bar hours where you will view from, but that would be a place to get a drink to carry with you down to the beach.

The Poly is a quick walk from the TTC. Just follow the signs. Go early, grab a drink and watch from the beach!

the MK buses drop off at the MK not the TTC for WDW resort buses.

so if the MK is still open just take it bus - but for getting back after your car is definitely the way to go.

that say if you are going during a busy time - the resorts may not let you park at their parking lots - so you might need to park at the TTC.

at the Polyn the pool bar is open. now at WL the bar was closed - not sure when it will reopen.

at the Polyn if you time it right and you are allowed on property (you can always make dinner reservation at the Kona Cafe) - if you time it right you can see the fireworks and the EWP.

spicycat is right....I definitely gave wrong advice in my earlier post....MK buses drop off at MK, not the TTC (duh!)....so if you did that you would get off the bus at MK, and board the Resort Monorail to get to the Contemporary, Poly, or GF OR you could ride the boat from in front of MK to Wilderness Lodge.

I was thinking that we'd eat at Downtown Disney or Disney Marketplace, whatever it's called now and then go from there. I'm going to have to check what time the fireworks are and whether they are close in time to the Light parade and try to see both. That would be lovely as we're only going to be IN the park(s) for one day. Let me check out the Kona Cafe dinner menu also. Thanks for the continued help. I see this is going to require more planning than anticipated. (Doesn't it always, at Disney?)

The Electric Light Pageant was a very pleasant unexpected surprise. I knew Disney did this back in the 70s and 80s, but I thought they discontinued it long ago. Happened to catch it twice from the Contemporary and once at the Wilderness. The boat from Magic Kingdom to the Wilderness arrived at the dock less than a minute before the show began. Perfect timing!!

We actually enjoyed it more than the Main Street Electrical Parade!!
