Hi Shelby,
I don't remember what 14 month olds eat...I actually think mine lived on sweet potatoes because I couldn't figure out what to feed her. What would you like to feed her?
We did check at each counter service restaurant before ordering (and it's a bit of a drag, but hey, Disney is so AWESOME for being so overwhlemingly accomodating). We never really had any issues, for example, we were able to order hamburger (including bun), apple sauce, fries and grapes at Pecos Bill's. They had VAN's egg-free waffles at breakfast!!!!! One day just to make it easy on myself and because it's my daughters favorite, we brought in McDonald's chicken nuggets and supplemented with Disney fries (which I ate most of anyway after they made the batch special for us). She had an adult pizza in the French Quarter food court and they have prepackaged Divvies cookies, popcorn and jellybeans!!!
I would suggest that you go ahead of the rest of your family and place the orders and get your food. I would also suggest splitting that duty with another adult with you (I hope you aren't alone with the three kids). Hey, having 3 kids under 6 would be challenging without food allergies!
We had the
free dining plan so we ate tons of food at Disney, we had the best time at major food events---Mickey's Halloween party even with trick or treating as well as at the food and wine festival. Mommy only had one meltdown due to food allergy stress and we had NO allergic reactions
I know it's vacation, but my best advice to you, is plan in advance as much as possible (like when and where you're going to eat), make sure to get to eating establishments BEFORE you're tierd and hungry with the patience to place your special order. Honestly, Disney is so amazing in regards to keeping our food allergic children safe AND HAPPY.
