never mind. and I wasn't yelling. I thought all caps was yelling. Forgive this simple mom who can't keep up with cyber ettiquette.

Frankly, I am tired of people assuming I won't take the necessary steps to keep my baby safe.

I am full of angst and anxiety and frustration and I am just so tired, so forget it. Just never mind already

I've already emailed and called the specific Disney people and am waiting to hear back other than "check with the chef at each stand" (like I want to spend the trip waiting to see the food book)

I am wondering if any other families have experience with counter service only .... With three children under 6, we are opting out of table service...they don't sit well at all, and with naps for the baby, lots of TS eats up a whole chunk of the day.

We have a villa in Kidani so will cook and pack what we can, but it's my vacation too and would like a break from time to time.

Can anyone advise what foods they have found that are egg free or have ingredient lists for counter service? It's for my 14 month old, so it can't be just any food, but something a baby with 4 teeth can handle.

Thanks in advance!

(Posted this in restaurants and got great feedback....Mod suggested posting here as well)

It is not so much "waiting to see the food book" but rather waiting for the chef/manager so you can discuss your needs, ordering and then WAITING for the food. Anything that needs to be specially prepared will take awhile.

As far as anyone having ingredient lists, they change OFTEN. So a list sent even a month ago may no longer be current.

Something you may want to consider with 14 month old-bring his/her food. The baby care centers have microwaves and feeding areas and they are WONDERFUL.

The one at MK is central to Caseys and Cosmic Rays. You can take the baby for a "break" and send Dh/Granma to eat with the other kids. Epcot has one right at the entrance to World Showcase and AK has one right next to Pizzafari.

Respectfully, while I understand not wanting to wait for a food book or a chef's attention, doesn't it make more sense to do that than to risk accidentally feeding your child something to which they'll have a bad reaction?

Equally respectfully, there's really no need to YELL and emphasize from whom one will accept a response to this post. On a public forum, answers come from a variety of sources.

I didn't know you could order special items at counter service restaurants. The ones around the World Showcase didn't offer that to us the last time we were there with my mom (she has a severe allergy to hot peppers).

To the OP - while you may not want to 'wait to see the food book', that's going to be the option the CMs give you to start out. First you see if there is anything available from the regular menu, then if there isn't, you ask to see if there's a chance they can make something for you. Don't bet on it though, at least around the WS.

Did you get all of the information from Brenda Bennett? The attachments she sent me list some of the food (with ingredients) served at counter service restaurants, and she put in her email a list of the restaurants that will be able to accomodate our needs. We're dealing with egg and many more allergies, and there are still a couple of things served at each park that my son will be able to eat...."allergy free" chicken tenders, hot dogs, fresh beef hamburgers, fresh fruit, turkey legs, apple sauce, and all of the Enjoy Life products.

We don't yet have EXPERIENCE WITH COUNTER SERVICE with the number of allergies we are dealing with this trip (all of the top 8 plus 2 others), HOWEVER I am hoping for the best, preparing for the worst. One of us may have to leave the rest of the family at a ride, go order our son's food, and meet back up later....not a huge sacrifice to ensure his safety.

Most of the places in WS are non Disney places, so they do not always handle food allergies the same as Disney does.

Hi Shelby,

I don't remember what 14 month olds eat...I actually think mine lived on sweet potatoes because I couldn't figure out what to feed her. What would you like to feed her?

We did check at each counter service restaurant before ordering (and it's a bit of a drag, but hey, Disney is so AWESOME for being so overwhlemingly accomodating). We never really had any issues, for example, we were able to order hamburger (including bun), apple sauce, fries and grapes at Pecos Bill's. They had VAN's egg-free waffles at breakfast!!!!! One day just to make it easy on myself and because it's my daughters favorite, we brought in McDonald's chicken nuggets and supplemented with Disney fries (which I ate most of anyway after they made the batch special for us). She had an adult pizza in the French Quarter food court and they have prepackaged Divvies cookies, popcorn and jellybeans!!!

I would suggest that you go ahead of the rest of your family and place the orders and get your food. I would also suggest splitting that duty with another adult with you (I hope you aren't alone with the three kids). Hey, having 3 kids under 6 would be challenging without food allergies!

We had the free dining plan so we ate tons of food at Disney, we had the best time at major food events---Mickey's Halloween party even with trick or treating as well as at the food and wine festival. Mommy only had one meltdown due to food allergy stress and we had NO allergic reactions :-)

I know it's vacation, but my best advice to you, is plan in advance as much as possible (like when and where you're going to eat), make sure to get to eating establishments BEFORE you're tierd and hungry with the patience to place your special order. Honestly, Disney is so amazing in regards to keeping our food allergic children safe AND HAPPY.
