Will these days ever change? I'm starting to work on my Jan 2005 Intinerary, can I depend on the EE days to be the same in Jan?

I notice alot of people say they avoid the EE days because of the crowds. Are they that crowded on those days?

Mary

the days haven't changed in years! We always take advantage of EE days...but then again we usually are leaving the park by 11:30 when it starts getting crowded!

According to a lot of posters, January isn't a big deal as far as crowds. Well, after NYE anyway!!!! You shouldn't have to worry too much about those mid-day crowds.

Days have changed in the past, but it's a pretty safe bet they will be the same in Jan 2005 as they are now. EE can still be worth doing during slow times; there may only be a few hundred people there when the park opens!

Yeah, didn't they go away for awhile and when they came back they were different?

Yes that's what happened. I don't have dates, but sometime late in 2001 (I'm thinking Octoberish) Early Entry was discontinued, and replaced by the ill-starred "character caravan" which visited various resorts in the morning. Early entry was reinstated in 2002 (I'm thinking August-September) The new early entry days for each park were different than the old ones, and I don't think they've changed since.

The Unofficial Guide (2001 ed) declined to publish early opening days, saying they changed from time to time. It also says Early Entry was first established in 1993.

EE is now called EMH for "Extra Magic Hour".

Please remember that in May of this year Disney experimented with a few evening EMH's...They completely changed the schedule.

I am holding my breath there will be no changes for this November because I have planned our entire trip around EMH!

We take advantage of EMH by using a "up early every other day plan".

Good Luck With Your Planning!
