EE at AK

Since nothing in Dinoland is open for EE, is it worth getting up earlier for AK? Is Kilimanjaro Safaris usually very crowded first thing on the EE day? I would appreciate hearing how others toured AK on EE day.

Thanks!

There is not a long line for anything. It is a great time to do Safari and It's Tough to be a Bug. Plus, when everything else does open, you will already be inside the park and get a jump on the crowds at Kali or Dinosaur.

We just returned from our trip yesterday and did EE at AK. We were there before they opened and were one of the first in the park. By the time we got to the safari the line was about a 10-15 minute wait.

If we did EE to AK for the rides, it wouldn't be worth it. What we enjoyed however was walking around through the trails while it was still cool and uncrowded. We got fast passes for the safari and did some exploring before 9, then went through the Jungle Trek as soon as it opened. It was nice to be able to take our time and see all the animals without the crowds and while it was still cool.

By the time we got through the Jungle Trek and Flights of Wonder it was time to get a fast pass for Dinosaur and use our safari fast pass. We were able to ride everything we wanted to without no waits or by using fast passes and be done in plenty of time to watch the parade.

As hot and muggy as it was last week, EE was well worth it!

I was not aware that you could get a fastpass before 9am. Can you do that for all of the rides or just safari? I will be at WDW at the end of next week , and I'm sure it will be very hot. So, being able to do some of the trails early will be nice.

Does anyone know if you can get more than one fastpass at a time? (I'm sure this question has been asked a million times!)

Thanks for the help :D

There will be a time printed on the bottom of your fast pass letting you know when you can get another fast pass. It usually starts one minute after your fast pass time window opens so you can get another fast pass then ride the first ride.

I don't know about other rides at AK, the safari was the only one we got a fast pass for before opening. As I recall, it was about 8:30 when they started issuing fast passes.

I've seen rides at the other parks that had fp's available during early entry and others didn't. I suppose it just depends on what they think the demand is going to be on a particular ride.

Just a thought...the one park that I think is a total waste of time for EE is Epcot. You can ride Test Track and go through Wonders of Life and that's it!:( Other than getting there a few minutes before opening just to get a Test Track fast pass we saw no reason whatsoever to crack out of bed early for Epcot EE.
