You can buy them on board - and if you don't finish the bottle one night, they will transfer it to your next restaurant for you.


I wish we'd hear from Beth! She's in Jersey & I'm concerned about her. On that note - heard from my cousin that she's being deployed to New Jersey for 6 weeks with FEMA. My friend who works (volunteers) as a shelter manager for the red cross has already gone.

I just heard from Beth. They're without power and phone lines but they have plenty of food and water. Jim is going back to work tomorrow but Beth will be out for a bit longer. She says it's more time to get ready for the cruise!

Was wondering if there were any other single moms with littles who were on this cruise? Would love to meet and hang out!

Happy anniversary! We just had our 21st. Wow, that went fast.

We are staying at Doubletree San Pedro but don't arrive until late the night before the cruise, so couldn't do a meet.

I think silly bands are still nice for kids, and they meet the "small and light" criteria.

I hope all those without power get it back soon!

I have seen silly bands and thought they were really cute, but I have never actually figured out what you do with them. Are they more of angirlmthing. My 9year old son has never played with them.

I think they were big last year. My co-workers kids had them, a few were boys, but they had sisters. They made shapes, and kids traded them. I didn't go pick them up, it was a bit of a drive anyway.

Well, if DisneyRick is strange for not having seen any Star Wars movies, I must be really strange - I haven't seen a movie since probably the 70s. Can't stand the forced inactivity.

Not even a Disney movie while cruising? My girls say you have to see Cars, Finding Nemo and The Little Mermaid. Those are a few of their favorites. If playing on the ship, they will gladly take you with them as their stand in grandma.

I'm truly happy to hear this . I was also quite worried. There are plenty of people from NY and NJ taking refuge here in the Poconos; hotels are completely booked and gas stations are quite popular. This will take quite some time to recover from, for thousands of people....makes me feel very lucky that the only thing I'm stressing about right now is jury duty tomorrow!

I think I'm going to open up a suitcase and start putting things in. While it is nice and sunny, it's getting cooler up here in the foothills so I don't think I'll be needing my capris and bathing suit up here anytime soon!

It is definitely not shorts weather here near SF either. I pulled out the long pants for DS and couldn't believe how many were "floods" that he just wore 4 months ago. Good thing he has older twin cousins, so we have tons to work through. Now to go through the shorts and shirts and force him to try them on to see which still fit and are in decent shape for the trip. Then I can start filling the guest room with clothes, FE gifts and misc supplies.

So glad to see I'm not the only one who makes the kids try on clothes for packing! My kids dread it when I tell them it's time to see what still fits - if only they wouldn't grow so fast.

Meanwhile, I'll have to try my clothes on to - and see which ones have room to expand after I've eaten all that cruise food for 14 days!

I called DCL to see what movies were playing on our cruise - no Secret of the Wings! I wonder if they will have it on Funnelvision, and the list is only the movies playing in the ship's theatre? Anyway, here's the listing they gave:
