Christy--my dh and I would like to join your table--no kids just us oldies.

Okay great. If you can PM me your reservation number and names and I will ask my agent to do it.

That fills up our table.:banana:

My grandkids are 6 and under and not playing with silly bands. They had some last year but I have not seen them this year. I still see them all over the stores tho. Sherry

I have seen silly bands and thought they were really cute, but I have never actually figured out what you do with them. Are they more of angirlmthing. My 9year old son has never played with them.

Good Morning, Happy Cruisers!

Has anyone heard from Beth? She lives in Jersey somewhere.

Well, if DisneyRick is strange for not having seen any Star Wars movies, I must be really strange - I haven't seen a movie since probably the 70s. Can't stand the forced inactivity.

Making progress every day.
*Today we'll do some more leaves - I love a wooded lot until it comes time to rake
*Holiday letter needs only to be signed, folded and stuffed.
*shuttle ordered on both ends
*non-perishables for both Thanksgiving & Christmas bought

Four days until NO MORE POLITICAL ADS! Three weeks to Thanksgiving - Five until the cruise!:cool1:

Happy Day, ALL!

Is this the same as the Reading Counts program? This is what is used at my kid's school. Both my boys love to take as many quizzes possible on books because they like to compete with each other. I think the most points a book has had that they read was 14. I will have to tell them about this book being 46 points! LOL

Yes, same point values, quizzes etc., just a different program. DD 7 is a bookworm. She's bringing a few books for the cruise so she can take the quizzes when she returns so her point total stays high (she's currently 2nd in her class). Do you know if they have any kid books on board?

When we booked a few wks ago, it was about 85% full.

Wow, that is surprising. But, good for DCL. Do they mean 85% of cabins occupied, or passenger load? I'm thinking it's cabins.

Can someone please direct me to the most current PC navigators? I know there are some older ones on DIS, but I thought someone was talking about a more current set. Thanks!

I don't have them online but I do have all of the Jan 2011 PC Navigators here with me. If I can look something up for you I'll be happy to.
I have lots of time to just read so I don't mind.

I'm sure they mean cabins occupied. Just on this thread there are quite a few singles and doubles, so we know those cabins are not 'full'.

Did anyone know they filmed the Disney Christmas parade so far in advanced? Went to Disneyland for lunch today & it was in full swing looked very cool:) Have Wonderful weekend everyone!

We saw it a couple years ago, and it was November 9th! The only thing they didn't have up were the wreaths that hang over Main Street. We were told that was the last decor to go up, since they have to bring the Xmas tree parts in, and they are very tall. Always fun and festive this time of year!

Good Morning Fellow Cruisers,
We set sail in 5 weeks,
that is 35 sleeps!

Did you know?
The Spanish founded Cartagena June 1, 1533.

Good Morning, Happy Cruisers!

What a GREAT announcement to grace the top of the page, Relaxin!

Anyone else staying at the Doubletree in San Pedro? I'm thinking we might have a pre-cruise meet, or dine together at Ports o'call, if anyone is interested.

Today
  • Farmer's Market (thankfully indoors since it's 36 degrees)
  • Work on Holiday cards
  • Finish Scrapbook exchange stuff
  • Figure out what's for supper

Happy Day, ALL!:goodvibes

We're staying at a Doubletree Hotel Maya in Long Beach. Not far from San Pedro on the 8th. Let us know if there will be a pre-cruise meet.

So, United Airlines decides yesterday to change all our flights to SNA; different flight #s, different seats, and a 36min. connection for my mother in Houston...yeah, like that would work :scared1:. She will have to change terminals, not to mention that she has trouble walking and can't "hurry" anywhere. I had everything coordinated so DH/I, DM/DNiece, and DD, who will all be leaving from different cities, would meet up in Houston to fly to SNA together. In the end, I was able to change her initial flight and keep us all together (and I told her, the good news is, she'll get to see the sun rise on the plane! :lmao:). Of course, the cs person didn't bother to assign them seats when she made the change, but I took care of it. I actually anticipated United doing something like this (based on past experience), but who needs the aggravation this close to leaving? ;) Yes, I know it's over a month away, but still too close for my comfort.

Stressed? Not really. Annoyed? ::yes::::yes::::yes::

There....rant over :rolleyes1.....moving on.....

I think I'm going to open up a suitcase and start putting things in. While it is nice and sunny, it's getting cooler up here in the foothills so I don't think I'll be needing my capris and bathing suit up here anytime soon! Once we are back from the MR over Thanksgiving, give everything a wash then back into the suit case for this trip! ;)

Finished up my scrapbook goodies. Finishing up the FE gifts and working on our ornaments for the exchange. I've read that the cruise before us have received their documents so we should be getting ours shortly.

Today is our 29th wedding anniversary:lovestruc and we celebrated without the kids last month. Time surely does fly. Who would have known he would be able to put up with me for some 29 years. :rotfl2:
