I would join in a FLL shuttle if anyone has space for 2 adults and 2 kids.

We have a flight out of FLL at 11:55 am, so need to get moving early. Please let me know if you have availability and count us in.

Thanks,

Chris, Svetla, Sean & Sam

I am caught up again. The Fish Extender page is up to date, Roll Call was edited, and thanks to Emily, I've added a dozen or so cruise graphics at the bottom of the "Home" page. Susan and I are excited to be going to WDW this coming Thursday for our annual Food & Wine Festival trip. :yay:

In all my cruises I have never heard of them storing any luggage or car seats, but that doesn't mean that it can't EVER happen, but I wouldn't count on it. Depending on the size of the car seats, they ay fit on the bottom of the closets.

On an extended cruise we had a suit case that did not fit under the bed and the room steward offered to store it for us, just don't forget to remind him (her) the last morning so they are not chasing it down while trying to collect everyone's bag that evening.

OK, now that many of you are getting stateroom assignments, please consider being a host for the stateroom crawl. For the website, I will only post your DISname with the category. I will put together a map with staterooms and bring that along on the cruise to hand out on board.

What do stateroom hosts do? Basically, open up your stateroom for others to see. It's also a great way to get to meet many of your fellow cruisers. Even regular DIS cruisers typically get the same cabin category classes each cruise and don't get to see first hand all of the others. Certainly not the Walt or Roy suites. If it were not for a friendly DIScruiser, we wouldn't have seen them either! For new cruisers, it's a great way to get a feel for getting around on the ship.

If you want to volunteer, email me or PM me as I might miss a post. Thanks. :thumbsup2

We have an 11:50am flight & are doing the SAS shuttle to FLL. I did the reservation online at http://www.ridesas.com/. We were quoted $15 per person. If you want to hook onto our reservation, feel free - it's under Lyndi Osborn.

Happy news from me - We got to spend time with another granddaughter last night. She's 16 and has autism. She actually TALKED to us. We got a smile or two. AND she hugged me good bye (touching is an issue) That was HUGE and I am thrilled to see how 'well' she is doing. Happy Day, everyone!

:cheer2: :yay: Rejoicing with you! :dance3:

First, thanks for looking after the website for all of us.:grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:

Can we come please, pretty please.....:flower3:
Love the F&W but, unfortunately, we won't be able to go this year with being away for 5 days for the American Thanksgiving (visiting relatives in New Jersey) get home for 4 days and then leave on Nov 30th for San Francisco. First stop on trip. Won't get home until the night of the 23rd. Christmas dinner for 16 at our house this year too.
Plus we have since booked a 6 night out of Galveston for Jan 26th.

Enjoy your trip and have a drink or two for us...:drinking::drinking1

GOOD Morning, happy cruisers!

OK. In simple terms, the master list has everyone. The smaller lists are a breakdown of 'everyone' such that each list has roughly the same number of 'people' on it. Some people are on more than one list because they wish to give to 'everyone'.

Pam, you can BRING your FE stuff and put it in as many FE as you wish to. You can even "hang out" your FE if you wish but your expectations for receiving should be low. I am bringing as many fe gifts as I can accomplish, but not on any list to receive. We were SO overwhelmed with what we received from the Hawaii cruise, I just opted not to.

As I wrote in my original post #3134, I have no expectations at all since I missed the list cutoff. I am, however, a firm believer in:
"Tis Better to Give than to Receive".
"God loves a cheerful Giver".
"Generousity has its own Rewards".
etc.etc.

I enjoy the "Adventure of the Fish Extender" : Roaming the corridors, searching out rooms, sneakily stuffing suprises in the pockets, then ducking away so no one spots you. :duck: Sort of like a reverse Scavenger Hunt.

And, I get the added bonus of seeing the many creative types of Fish Extenders used; along with some gawking at all the decorated doors. On a couple of my past cruises (this is #4) we had door contests.

 Without an assigned list, I can create my own!
If Nate Tucker and I cannot attract any more newcomers I have 72 other cabins to pick from/give to. Now, how to decide whom to choose? ?
Those cabins with children, or foreign visitors (hello to Canada and the Netherlands  ), maybe those couples with anniversaries (40 years), people with birthdays, ... decisions, decisions.

It will be a surprise...for them and me.
Pam

We will gladly add a little pixie dust pixiedust: to the late comers who sign up prior to our departure of Nov. 30th. You know what "they" say....Better late than never....

I'll have extras too and will be glad to deliver them to latecomers :)

I'll have extras also....especially since I haven't started mine yet!

But I'll be ready when the time comes.

At Shutters, stack the pictures you are considering purchasing together each day so you you don't have to search all the displays repeatedly. Shutters staff will keep the stacks together.

Even though it's NOT on the room service menu, they will deliver the Mickey Ice Cream Bars! Yummy!!

For more shelf space, put the life vests under the bed.

We're using SAS Transportation from the port to FLL. We have 7 in our group thus far so the cost is $13 per person. I don't recall how many they can accomodate in a van, but you can contact Steve and ask him. If you need to link to my reservation, let me know. We have two other Disboard families joining our van.

We'd be interested in going in with others as well. I haven't booked any shuttles yet--coming or going. I'd better get on that!

Thanks again Jeff for keeping us all on the same page. I'll be sending a photo and celebrating our 26th Anniversary. Have a great trip at the F&W!

I have a few extras made so no worries--you and Nate will both get a little surprise:wizard: This is our first FE and we are on the "everyone" list so that means you too!

From us, too (and from PinkPug, as well :goodvibes )

We don't know HOW they're going to disembark us. This is the first time in Miami. In PC, once the ship is cleared, you can get off in the order you're in line. In LA after the Hawaii, we had to wait until our "color" was called to get off. It took FOR. EVER. If you have an early flight, be sure you let guest services know IN ADVANCE.

Maybe those sharing a shuttle should notify Guest Services in advance, so they can disembark together. Otherwise, it could be difficult to connect!

Linda, that's amazing for your family. A hug...WOW! :flower3: It's really the "little" BIG things in life that count :thumbsup2

we have been away. My DH's uncle/Godfather died and we were about 4 hours from home for the funeral and showing. His parents have no internet. small town.
On the way to the funeral we hit a deer at 6:30 a.m.
we are all okay. scared the crap out of me. of course DH made a massive judgement error and made our deductible $2000. This is going to really limit our excursions now. We only really have the one in Columbia planned.

We can do the late FE people. Hate to give it away, but we are making magnets, so they are light and pack-able. was going to bring candy and some other small things, but we should be good. so we are doing all cabins.

taking our car to get looked at in the morning.

I quickly read through the last like 10 pages. I guess that's what happens when you don't have internet for 5 days.
