(SNIP) At least the news is saying the lost demand will lead to lower gas prices for the U.S.
Not for us in California. 1/3 of the country could stop using gasoline and we would still get gouged for gas. Good thing I drive a diesel. That, plus 450-700 miles to the tank depending on how much freeway driving I do is another good reason for diesel.

....Switching gears completely, I'm hoping one of you can provide me with some magnet help, please. I bought magnet paper and am trying to figure out how to get various images ready for printing. I don't have any non-MS Office suite programs, so assume that the best option for me will be to incorporate the images into MS Word and resize them as appropriate and then print them out (on a test page first). If anyone thinks there's a better free program for this please let me know.

The other problem I'm having is how to get our names onto the CM nametag blanks. I tried inserting a text box but that leaves me with an ugly box. If anyone can help explain or drop our names into set of blanks I'd be most grateful:)
That is exactly what I do. MS word is good - powerpoint is even better. In either case, set the margins as narrow as you can to save space. Jeff already said how to get rid of the line.

Here's our border collie Bernie. He's almost 16 years old. His hat carries a message for all of you :)

LOVE IT!

I went to a scrapbooking event on the Magic last week. I am not a scrap booker but thought I would look in. Disney provided two beautiful 12x12 sheets of paper Disney cruise themed and lots of cute cut outs. I assume we will have the same event on our cruise. I loved all the craft events even tho they seemed to be kid oriented. I am still going on our cruise. Sherry

Of COURSE you are, Sherry!

FIY, Southwest just announced some $79 fares. I was able to save around 2800 pts by rebooking from here to LA :thumbsup2 It did nothing for my flight out of Orlando though.
Thanks! Our flight dropped $40 each! $80 total savings. I am not telling my sister as now our flight is cheaper than hers. Drama!

Did everyone see that Disney bought LucasfilmsDid. Add Princess Leia to Disney's cast of Princesses. So excited for episode 7 of Star Wars promised in 2015. Sherry

If it wasn't bad I had to hear about this for hours the moment we got power from my DH, when I got my new phone today, I had 27 texts about this from my friend's husband and two from my friend. My friend's txt went something like this, "if I hear the words Star Wars and Disney one more time I am hopping in the car and driving through the hurricane to you. My response today was, It is worse here!

The boys are already planning for a cruise for the May 2015 prermEAR of the movie hoping for a Stars Wars theme cruise.

No power in central NJ and it looks like it will be a long time before it comes back on. My work has power so I'm here while dh is home with the kiddos. Phone service is out and cell phone service is out so it's difficult to get in touch with anyone.
Thankfully no trees on our house or autos. Not all of our neighbors were so lucky & some lost their entire roof (even patches underneath the roofing so I'm sure they have water issues too). Kids are bored out of their minds though!
Long long lines for gasoline - I've never been so glad to have a hybrid. The line past the pump was at least a mile long of cars this morning, at every gas station I passed that was operating (some said they were empty/ only had diesel). Probably a good 1-2 hour wait for gas. I have just enough to get me through the week, so hopefully we'll be back on line for that soon. At least the news is saying the lost demand will lead to lower gas prices for the U.S.

Thanks for the update on NJ. My SIL is in Hillsborough, and we have not been able to contact her. I guess it is a waiting game until she gets power.

The stateroom crawl is coming along nicely. Three more gracious cruisers (mug318ca, socababy, mom24cuties) have volunteered to host. mug318ca has volunteered their Cat. 9 Deluxe Oceanview (thanks Judson!). socababy (Christina) and mom24cuties (Aimee) have added their staterooms, which happen to be the two most awesome and luxurious staterooms on the ship - the Cat. 1/R Walt Disney and the Roy Disney Royal Suites. Thank you ladies. :thumbsup2

We still have openings for Cat 2, 3, 4, 7, 10 and 11.

As a reminder, the stateroom crawl is a family-friendly event. I believe it was WVURunner (Emily) who volunteered some ideas about what we could do for kids to make it interesting to them. Other ideas are also welcome/appreciated. Making it some type of game I think would be good where they collect something at each stop...could be a treat, could be a puzzle piece, could be a clue, could be different things based on age group.

I will break the larger group up into smaller groups of 8-9 people and send them off at ~ 3 minute intervals so each group is small enough to be able to comfortably see the stateroom and be easily accommodated by the host. The first group will be the stateroom hosts who will stop at their stateroom and host the other groups and then join back into the last group so they can visit the other hosts. PM or email me if you have questions and/or would like to volunteer your stateroom in one of the remaining categories. As an incentive, hosts will get a super-special (but likely inexpensive) gift. ::yes::

I can volunteer our category 11 cabin (not sure that anyone really wants to see it though :rolleyes1), but we are debating whether we want to try to upgrade at the por or not, so I don't know that would work :confused3.

I am so excited to see the Walt and Roy suites!!! Special thanks to Christina and Aimee for giving us the oppertunity to experiance them. And to everyone else as well. We have an IGT but if we get anything that is not hosted yet, we will volunteer.

I mentioned having a stateroom crawl passport, where each category is listed and kids can either get a stamp or sticker once they visit the room. There could also be a question (maybe about the room or ship, example: How many catergory 9s are located on the ship)? Kids must ask questions (like 20 questions to the host) to guess and get the correct answer. I can work on this if there is any interest. I'm open to ideas and questions for the cabin.

What did everyone's kids dress up as? I would love to hear. How many pirates did we have, that costume will come in handy really soon.

Luke was Uncle Sam
Lucie was the Statue of Liberty

Sadly I haven't seen any pictues of the yet :(

My 11y.o. dressed as a Ninja. He was totally excited about their Halloween costume parade today at school. My 13 y.o. says he's too old to trick or treat. I agree.

Four of my grandkids were Power Rangers. The twin two year olds were the cutest firemen on the block. The baby was a dragonfly. It got dark fairly early so I am glad we started early. It was a fun and safe night and the weather was perfect here in Texas. Sherry

Wow..power rangers are still popular? I will sadly admit that I went as the pink power ranger many many years ago

It was all Star Wars here at our house for Halloween. We had a Captain Rex, General Grievous, Princess Leia and a Darth Vader who headed out from our house.

Our son was a mystic force gold power ranger, my husband was a race car driver & I was Minnie Mouse :)

I've been running around all day in my Jack Sparrow hair topped off with Mickey Pirates in the Carribean ears and a Mickey skull t-shirt. Laura was a sailor carrying around a stuffed Minnie Sailor.

Thanks Jeff and to all who have volunteered! Can't wait to see the suites. This will probably be the only time I will ever set foot in one :). We are IGT as well but would gladly host if we get something else.
