. . . I'm glad all you scrappers are getting your items done. I am so sorry I couldn't participate but I am still laying down most of the time and that is not the easiest way to scrap. I would love to see your designs. While living on the boat I rented a space at the marina that was 12 feet by 43 feet just for my hobbies. It was filled with scrapping items. I would go to CHA every year with my friend who teaches in the industry and they give away so much free stuff. I won a Cricuit before they were distributed. It had to have been one of the first because it was slightly different from the model that went on sale.

Sorry I'm rambling now. I'm bored. My DH is at sea, my sons are at work and my son's dog just ate my Little Mermaid pin that I got on the Mexican Rivera cruise.

Enjoy your day and stay dry and safe! Think :beach::beach::beach:

Judy

Judy, I Just hope you feel better soon. You're in a yucky situation!
Don't worry about not making scrappy stuff - I made a packet for you too, and you should plan to come to our meet - at Disney's scrapbook event, if they have one. I'll pm you any other info. :)

I hope everyone is staying safe! I am in IN and we have had some nasty high winds, but I can't even imagine how bad it is on the East Coast.

Does anyone know if silly bands are still popular? or are they so yesterday. when I worked at RD they were big with the kids, but that was last year. I was thinking of adding them to our gifts for the FE. Would kids still think they were cool?

do we know how many kids there are? Is that info on the spreadsheet? I am getting ready to walk out the door. If someone could check for me. I can get 200 of them.

After reading some of the reports from the Fantasy and Dream, when is the Pacific hurricane season? Not especially worried but I am curious.

and the driving ban has been lifted! We were able to hand bail the water out of the sump pump pit so there is no damage. The roof survived and no major trees fell. Around 22 hrs without power.

DH was walking around lost last night and I asked him what was wrong and he responded with, "I don't know what to do with out the internet. How did people live like this? So for the first time since I have known him, he opened a book and READ. I had to capture the moment with a camera.

We did have a causity, my phone did not survive. It fell out of my pocket into the sump pit and I don't think rice can save it. According to DH, something broke on the motherboard :( New phone is ordered and should be arriving tomorrow!

So glad everyone affected by Sandy seems to be safe. :)

 I would probably have the same reaction as your DH!

We made it through here in Virginia without too much damage. There are some medium size limbs down in the yard and we had to go looking for the grill cover (it got caught under the neighbor's trampoline), but we didn't lose power. Driving around town today, there are several trees down, but it looks like most fell away from houses and lines. There is still one dead tree weighing down a nearby line that's making me wonder if we might still lose power at some point if they don't get it removed soon.

As I got on the interstate today to go do some shopping, I merged into a caravan of 13 trucks from Southeast Power (most marked Shreveport, LA) heading north. Hopefully those up north know that help is on the way!

In other news, I finally booked a flight home from Miami. I'd posted before that I was really hoping to get a miles award booking but that everything left super early on the 23rd so I thought I might have to spend a night in Miami. A flight on the evening of the 23rd finally popped up for mileage travel today! It means I'll get home pretty late on the 23rd, but that's better than getting home on the 24th. :goodvibes It also isn't the 12 hour travel time that the other flights that would have taken me through Chicago would have been. Just a quick layover in Charlotte.

Really glad to have the flight home booked. That was hanging over my head a bit. :headache:

Hope everyone is staying safe, warm, and dry!

I went to a scrapbooking event on the Magic last week. I am not a scrap booker but thought I would look in. Disney provided two beautiful 12x12 sheets of paper Disney cruise themed and lots of cute cut outs. I assume we will have the same event on our cruise. I loved all the craft events even tho they seemed to be kid oriented. I am still going on our cruise. Sherry

Well we made it through Sandy - didn't lose power and all our trees are still upright in our area. Lots of leaves on the ground and some minor flooding, but nothing too bad. Still calling for rain and wind gusts today, but I think the worst is behind us. DD's are getting buggy being trapped in the house, so hopefully they can get out today.

Keep your fingers crossed for trick or treat tomorrow - they cancelled our local parade yesterday and if they cancel trick or treat my DD won't be a happy camper :(

Have a "WONDER"ful day!

Tammy

We're glad to hear everyone is safe. The first thing the girls asked when they woke up this morning was if all of our Dis friends were ok and did you hear from B yet? Make sure you tell her that if she doesn't get to go trick or treating, my girls will bring her a bag of chocolate. They too think it should be one of the basic food groups.

Good Morning, Happy Cruisers!

39 days to go!

Didn't get any of the stuff on yesterday's list done, so it's more of a priority today. Made 1 scrapbook page about something that's on my mind, and read half a book. Sum total of my accomplishments :(

Stay safe everyone. Happy Day!

OH that's so sweet - Trick or Treat was rescheduled for tomorrow and they aren't calling for any rain, so hopefully she'll be able to go. I think this will be her last year and I know she will be disappointed if she misses it.

Add ice cream to the chocolate food group and we are all set :yay:

Good morning! Glad it sounds as though everyone in our group from the east coast has weathered the storm! If any of you have clean up to do I'm sure the cruise will be just what you need to look forward to!

Switching gears completely, I'm hoping one of you can provide me with some magnet help, please. I bought magnet paper and am trying to figure out how to get various images ready for printing. I don't have any non-MS Office suite programs, so assume that the best option for me will be to incorporate the images into MS Word and resize them as appropriate and then print them out (on a test page first). If anyone thinks there's a better free program for this please let me know.

The other problem I'm having is how to get our names onto the CM nametag blanks. I tried inserting a text box but that leaves me with an ugly box. If anyone can help explain or drop our names into set of blanks I'd be most grateful:)

I just checked and we haven't heard from Beth since the beginning of the storm. She must be without power. Good luck Beth.

I volunteered to make the badges but if you want to do it yourself and are using Word, simply right click on the text box and select under line color "No color". Box goes away. :)

Here's our border collie Bernie. He's almost 16 years old. His hat carries a message for all of you :)

Thanks -- this is for magnets as opposed to badges, so we'd still very much appreciate a badge by you! Can anyone fonfirm if I"m right about how to do magnets in Word?

Did everyone see that Disney bought LucasfilmsDid. Add Princess Leia to Disney's cast of Princesses. So excited for episode 7 of Star Wars promised in 2015. Sherry

No power in central NJ and it looks like it will be a long time before it comes back on. My work has power so I'm here while dh is home with the kiddos. Phone service is out and cell phone service is out so it's difficult to get in touch with anyone.
Thankfully no trees on our house or autos. Not all of our neighbors were so lucky & some lost their entire roof (even patches underneath the roofing so I'm sure they have water issues too). Kids are bored out of their minds though!
Long long lines for gasoline - I've never been so glad to have a hybrid. The line past the pump was at least a mile long of cars this morning, at every gas station I passed that was operating (some said they were empty/ only had diesel). Probably a good 1-2 hour wait for gas. I have just enough to get me through the week, so hopefully we'll be back on line for that soon. At least the news is saying the lost demand will lead to lower gas prices for the U.S.

FIY, Southwest just announced some $79 fares. I was able to save around 2800 pts by rebooking from here to LA :thumbsup2 It did nothing for my flight out of Orlando though.

Thanks so much for posting this! I was able to rebook & save around the same in points!
